TF2 and SC2 have to be the two games I've played the most in the past year, and I couldn't help but notice similarities between the TF2 Heavy and SC2 Marauder:
-Both are "tanks" -Both can slow enemy movements with their weapons (notice that the gun says Natascha on it) -The SC2 Marauder likes to say "It's time to get HEAVY" when clicked on
Heavy Marauder (Blue team of course):
You can also tell I got bored of the idea towards the end and got lazy with the feet
Enjoy!

That's hilarious in hindsight. Great work on the art too.
|
HAHA, looks so freaking awesome! I love it!
Who cares if you got lazy, still looks ssosososososcopdfkgjhekgvbsdkhv (that a lot of so's, my hands get excited) awesome! ♥

This idea is delicious!
nomnomnomnomnom <3 !
|
That's awesome.
Can you say more about how you draw stuff like that? I know nothing about art so I have no idea how to do something that cool.
|
I use a Wacom Intuos4 Medium Tablet to draw in Photoshop CS4
I start with a sketch:
Then I put in base colors under it then paint over for details and stuff!
here's a progression of a previous piece. I didn't take too many pics in-progress of this piece bc it was just for fun

The Marauder says: "IT'S ABOUT TO GET HEAVY" not it's time to get heavy :3 Don't mean to rain on your parade, I just thought I should point that out
|
Thanks for pointing that out! Fixed it, will re-upload later
|
I was expecting this to be about TF2 Heavy and I wasn't disappointed.
|
Interesting that you color under the sketch! I'll have to try that.
I usually just sketch, outline, color, fade outlines and then touch up+add shines and such. o-o!
|
That's pretty awesome. but what about...red?
|
greatness! Never thought of it.

Re-uploaded!
@Raeleigh: Coloring under the lines makes its easy to keep the form while adding color into the piece (: I keep some remnants of my outlines even in the final piece to make it look cleaner
