Unfortunately just a hour ago when i was preparing to leave from the new years eve party my nose brutally met someone's head on the way, it was a huge shock.
It hurt me a lot, but few to no nose bleed from the shock. I kept an icecube wrapped in something for about 15 minutes in hope that it would keep it from swelling.
Now the problem is not that it still hurts, the problem is that my nose seems deformed, a bit twisted!
I'm a bit scared, i had my nose a very bit deformed (a small unobservable curve) about 4 years ago in a fight. But this time even my mom and the rest could see with naked eye that it seems a little deformed.
I have no idea on what to do to be honest. I asked 3 friends who should have some medical training (residents) two said i should use anti-swelling gels with ketonal or something similar and wait a day or two to see if it's really the nose curved or it may just be a swelling which is very hard to differ. One said the faster i go to the doctor the more chances are they can put my nose back with smaller effort if it's broken and curved indeed.
Anyone had similar stuff, anyone with any kind of preparation which could help that can give advice please?
Don't give me the "wtf asking on tl, go to doctor" line, there are reasons i didn't go to the hospital just now like: first day of new year ppl there are few and drunk, there are many accidents and a long waiting line, i'm so damn tired (haven't sleeped for ~35h) the only thing it keeps me awake is being scared.
Right now i feel inclined to wait a day or two and use anti swelling gels. I'll try to get a hour of sleep.
Any advice containing a good insight will be very appreciated, thank you!

Take a nap for 1-2 hours. Go to the doctor, it's easier to fix it while it's still fresh. Not really an insight, since you already know you should do that. hmmm on the other hand, don't think the doctors will fix it instantly, but it's still better to go there asap.
Btw, you can even go to the doctor and take a nap while waiting in the line (if you can sit). xD
pix of the nose? :D

I think if you wait to go to the doctor they will need to RE-break it in order to set it in it's correct position.

I'm sorry, but there's no way around a doctor.

be all cocky and just be like "hell yeah, i hope he HAS to re-break and set this bitch!"
keep the act up all the way until it happens
now it's over

i think we need pics to accurately judge the situation

It won't kill you. But if its keeping you awake I think you should go to doctor to get it checked. If its clearly deformed(= its not just the swelling) then I think it's safe to say its broken. It will hurt for a while even if its not broken thats normal.

Could be dislocated. Best thing to do is stick it between the doorjamb and door and have someone close it on your nose. Then yank your head back until you feel your nose click into place again. Works every time for me.

just tilt your head in the opposite direction of the break, that way no one can tell the difference.

If there is any difficulty breathing OR a noticeable deformity then it's time to see a doctor ASAP. The reason is a deformity usually means that it wasn't a clean break, which means that your nose will start healing wrong, and if that happens you might require surgery to correct it. The faster you see a doctor to set it the better. If you went to the ER as soon as it happened you would already have seen a doctor. Stop being lazy. Oh and put ice on it to keep the swelling down.

I think I just crapped my pants... ><
Maybe I'm just too paranoid of pain, but that sounds ridiculously painful... urgh...
OT, you should definitely go see a doctor, man.

Ugh I hope I never break my nose after reading this...

Thanks for the replies guys. I've slept for a couple of hours i feel much better and can judge the situation way better, i think i was a bit paranoid before due to lack of sleep.
@StorkHwaiting i'm not sure if that's a joke but i tried pushing it the other way and it hurts so bad that my tears pop out.
I still can't figure whether my nose is deformed or it's just swelled but at least i don't feel any significant difference when breathing.
It's night in here but in the morning i will go to the hospital, i'm sure those guys should figure better than me if it's broken/deformed or not. If it's broken then i'm in for a lot of pain . I'll update tomorrow.
Happy New Year btw
