Well you may be surprised to know that this actually doesn't make sense. Now, when people then complain about their lag problems somewhere else, the immediate response is, "well get a better internet connection, or don't play." First off, who do you think I am? A fucking magician? I can't just make my internet better at the flick of a wrist. If I could do you think I would have lag in the first place. I mean seriously, you don't know anything about my internet situation, you don't know if I'm limited to just crappy internet service, if i'm at a college dorm, or if I'm having random internet problems. You think I like being w/o good internet? You think I like to sit in front of my computer screen and not do anything? You think I like to feel like a handicapped person on the internet because I have a shitty internet? Surprise, surprise! I don't!
Secondly ("or don't play"), wow very constructive. As i said before you don't know my internet situation, and that typically has a very heavy bearing on when I play. I know that I would love to have 4 MBps internet all the time, but I barely get 500 kbps during peak hours (if you couldn't guess I live in a dorm). I don't know how long those peak hours last, nor do I know when they start. I only have estimations, and if I'm off for that particular day. then guess what? Wow! Lag!
I would say that most people who get online and begin lagging aren't doing it on purpose, nor are they trying to ruin your oh so valuable time mighty who-ever-the-fuck-you-think-you-are. They simply wanted to play and they thought, "hey, my internet is doing fine now, I think I'll play a few ladder games, maybe get a few customs in and--Wow! Lag!"
