hiya!
decided to start a blog here.. dont know if anyone remember me from back in the days  anyway i was a pretty good bw player back in the days.. recently ive started getting into music production a bit.. amateur level obviously =) thought i'd share some of my work here.. seems like a lot of people are into EDM around here (thats what im trying to make) :D only been doing this about 5 months i think.. anyway i made a bootleg remix of the epic sax guy loop its pretty housey and more banging than the original.. feedback appreciated!

1:40-2:27 is very nice
it's the only part without those wooden sounds which ruins the whole track for me

What sequenzer/synths/samples are you using? the ideas are there, but the sound quality (read complexity, not volume) could be boosted a bit imo
Edit: i also think that you should stick with your old bw name, its pretty neat for this

well i use ableton along with nexus and vanguard mostly.. yep i know the sound quality could be better.. thats what im mainly trying to improve  got any ideas? u prod to?

I'm not too keen on todays progressive house, the pop side even less which your track seems to represent. That epic sax guy loop could do wonders in slightly slower paced tune.

in that sort of stuff it could work out great.
Edit: Also, the melodyline and bassnote is a little off at the chorus 3th and 4th bar. And by little off I mean that you can find better melodynotes to those bars.

yeah, im an ableton user aswell. Nexus had some interesting sounds, but i went with sylenth1 from lennardigital.com, and im loving it. As an old logic user loving the ES2, the sylenth1 has alot of similaries, yet a bit more friendly UI. Nexus seemed quite expensive for its contents though

@rusty didnt notice they were off haha thot it sounded good yea maybe it could work with funky stuff too but i just felt like i wanted to make it.. erhm.. "banging"
@starparty yeah ive tried sylenth1 too a bit.. everyone seems to love it.. but i didnt like it so much at first glance.. maybe i should try again what kind of music are u making?
