I feel the same way. I don't know what else to say. There's stuff up on there that you aren't going to hear from the media for example, despite it being true. Or even worse stuff you will hear mentioned on the media that is not truthful, and I hate being lied to. I support them 100% and would contribute if I had anything worth contributing.

I find it hilarious that some leaders like those of Venezuela and Ecuador are praising Julian Assange just because they take this as anti-american thing. I wonder what they have to say once he release bad stuff about Venezuela and Ecuador.

I dislike Wikileaks because I disagree with their philosophy that information is good. Information as a whole is ethically neutral. There is good information and bad information. For instance, the recent leaks don't seem to have done much other than harm international relations and cause a scandal. I don't see many positives in damaging fragile international relationships by illegally releasing documents. True, there was some increased governmental transparency added by the documents, but I don't think that outweighs the damage it caused.

Knowledge is power. I don't want to live as a mindless sheep or a brainless zombie. I definitely WANT to know what's going on in this world, I want to know what the guys I voted for are up to.
I voted "no but I should" because honestly I don't want to end up in jail for spreading classified information.
you can take a rough guess what's going on without the given information wiki's provisioned.
There are some very interesting cables talking about things that I wouldn't even suspect.
The cable named 10PARIS58, subject : EMBASSY PARIS - MINORITY ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY is very interesting and shows how US watches over its allies and how involved it is.

If I wasn't scared of the system I live in, I would find a way.
I could expose a LOT of bofa corruption and small to mid range corporate tactics used to shell money around but I have used a lot of the info I have to my advantage at one time or another and I wouldn't want to call the kettle black ...

If I were in a position to leak nontrivial information but had agreed previously to confidentiality, then no I wouldn't though yes I should if there were sufficient reason to do so.

I think the important distinction is between leaking any nontrivial information and nontrivial information that reveals wrong (unlawful, unethical, etc.) practices. Just leaking anything for the sake of freeing information, as some people advocate, seems very extreme. WikiLeaks doesn't do that though.
