Since in recent times I've been disillusioned with SC2 in general, I haven't been watching any GSL, Cups, etc. I decided for my liquidbet on SC2 to pick the player on the left, except for certain circumstances: 1. Old BW player, (Nada, Boxer, Zergbong, etc.) 2. New Champions (Fruitdealer, MarineKing, etc.) 3. Player with a picture over player without
This actually has raised my Liquidbet highly without much knowledge about the scene at all (from c.2000 to 381 apparently). This may be due to less emotion with betting, unlike my BW liquidbet in which I love to bet ACE because they're MANLY, or man, maybe Calm will win this time, MOLLUSK POWER.
Anyway, just sharing and giving away some thoughts to TL. Hope everyone is doing wonderfully well.
(Thank you to anyone who is still supporting BW and streaming games!)

ACE isn't manly anymore, Reach is gone. ^^

All I do is vote Terran. =)

i always chose the guys that look more freakish on their pictures, except for your rules #1 and #2 :D and if one doesn't have a picture i just assume a medium freakish look for him and then think weather medium beats the available picture. i was up to rank 29 on liquibet1 (i think it was 1, might have been 2 but don't think it was) this way lol

There was a thread made earlier in the day discussing strategies about voting in Liquibet. I'll just repost my contribution.

I actually do NOT follow the GSL. I don't have a ticket and I've never caught up on missed games via youtube or streams. I think I've only watched a few games live because Pandain gave me a link to a streamer.
Here's my strategy: TvT / PvP / ZvZ - If you think you recognize one of the names, vote for him. Otherwise, random. ZvP - If you think you recognize the Zerg, vote for him. Otherwise vote Protoss. TvP - Vote Terran. TvZ - Vote Terran.
Every now and then if you feel like it, randomly choose a player, just to see what happens.
If you follow these simple set of rules, then you too can grow up to be the President. I mean, the Liquibet leader.

Heh... I don't really have a strategy. Just going for my gut feeling. I don't watch GSL either, nor do I watch missed games etc. Suddenly I'm 15th in the ranking?
