Noob goes SC2 - Part 12

First non-interloud part after a long time, actually right now I'm waiting for TheAntZ to show up for the practice section, but whatever. He's not here now. So, let me kick in.

Infrawhite: So, cerebrate. Overmind gave me a quest to prepare you for bigger fights. So, in order to do that, I'm gonna infest some Terrans and Protosses and challenge you. Let's see what you got.
Lobo: Yes, master. But Overmind gave me some quests as well. I need to intercept the big protoss attack with 3 protoss executors and numerous protoss forces. After that, I need to clear out a triple agent.
Infrawhite: So, good luck, cerebrate.
Lobo: Thanks, master.

Lobo took off to Metalopolis with necessary equipment, and it began.

"You larva, morph into drone. You drone, morph into a spawning pool. You, morph into a hatchery over there. I want everything to be perfect here."

It was not that late, and the executor arrived with some force.



And not that long either, before he retreated.



"Good, stay calm there. There should be no problem as long as we stay cool."

The executor went on with preparing a new army...



...while Lobo went on and took another base...



...which is spotted right away by a nearby observer...



...and raided by the executor and his ruthless army.



But Lobo was there to engage the army of Protoss...







...and reclaim his expansion.



"Good, now my trump card is ready as well as my 3rd expansion. I don't see the executor holding through this one."



Protoss executor sent some reinforcements to his base...



...but those reinforcements didn't last long.



And later on, Lobo reinforced his air forces...



...as well as his main army.



"Let's finish this"

Protoss has prepared some forces as well...



...and raided all the way to Lobo's latest expansion...



...which was easily defended.



Later on, Lobo's mutalisks went on right onto the Protoss...



...and took him down once and for all.

"So, let's go with the next one"

...which was on Xel'Naga caverns, the forbidden lands for the swarm.

"Yeah whatever.."

Lobo started with a gas before pool opening as expected.



And followed with an expo.



Upgraded to lair and started a spire.



At that time, executor started building a stargate.



And attacked with some voidrays.



But Lobo destroyed them with ease as well as taking another expo.



"There is one thing, only one thing that's better than not feeling the disturbance in my mind at this place.. To watch Zealot vs Mutalisk battle."







"Go my mutas, I think it's the time."



"You drone, go mutate into a hatchery there."



"What, is that even a resistance? Crush that and go for the nexus"









"Forbidden place MY ASS. You clear the rest of this mess, I'm out of this place. Lobo leaving to Lost Temple."

Overmind contacted to Infrawhite after hearing the news.

Overmind: Did you feel that, cerebrate?
Infrawhite: Yes, master. Lobo just crushed an executor at Xel'Naga caverns.
Overmind: This is for the first time, a cerebrate wins at that place. Maybe that place is not the forbidden lands any more.
Infrawhite: Maybe, master.

At lost temple, Lobo met another executor, but this one was like in a hurry or whatsoever.

Lobo started with gas before pool as usual, but executor had some other plans.







"Fine, as you wish executor. I don't need that expansion this early anyway."



"Lings, attack"



"Not so important, my roaches are able to clean this up"



Protoss executor started executing his plan B after his initial rush failed.



At that time, Lobo's roaches went off-creep...



...and met protoss army right in the middle of the map



Everything was going in the favor of executor. His DTs were ready to go.



Even though Dark Templars did quite a damage, Lobo handled that and got rid of Dark Templars



"At last, my trump cards"



But, executor had some more dark templar



Lobo, after getting rid of the dark templar, attacked protoss base and...



...when he noticed the army, he tried to intercept with his mutas





But he suicided all his mutas for the sake of that.



He later got rid of the army and made more mutalisks, running through all the map and denying protoss expansions.





"Go for the Nexus"



Later, he attacked to Protoss main base



And got resisted by void rays



But the resistance was far from enough

"I'm flying back to Metalopolis, that triple agent has appeared to have infested some Terran forces. I'm gonna go there and show him how real cerebrates infest Terrans"

Was this a spoiler on Lobo's current strategy, or it was just some words that were spitted out of Lobo's mouth. Time will reveal it.

But Lobo started with usual gas before pool into expand and followed with a lair and spire with only 1 difference: Baneling Nest.











"You two twins, go scout that idiot"



"You 3 zerglings, morph into banelings"



"You drone, go mutate into a hatchery at that place"



Terran army marched on to engage Lobo, but with one major blunder which remained unpunished





Lobo prepared some banelings to face Terran army.



And raided with his mutas as well



Finally, Terran army engaged with Lobo.



And the second round



Lobo was able to clear everything up



And attack with mutas afterwards



But there were so many vikings waiting for mutas



And Terran took an expo after engaging with Lobo's mutas.



Lobo produced some banelings,



Went for mutas one more time,



But as promised, his plan was different.







"Let me show you how REAL cerebrates infest Terrans"



"March on!!!"





"Go get yourself another place you tripleface, like the bottom of the HELL"

Practice Section

Special thanks to TheAntZ, Elsid and Infrawhite who helped me practice hardcore today. Especially TheAntZ, who constantly 4 gated me until i found out a build to stop that. It took 5 games for me to find a build which actually helped pretty much, and that was my only win in today's practice section. Despite my 4-0 ladder record today, I was 1-10 in practice section, which was somehow atrocious. Anyway, going through all 11 games is something impossible (not literally, but even if I do that, I don't think many people will read all the way through it), so I'll post 1 game from each practice partner (sorry TheAntZ, but I'm gonna post the win one among all 5) and include all replays in a pack and this will happen everyday.

LoboMuzenza vs TheAntZ

This game was relatively short one, where we spawned at the closest positions of Shakuras Plateau and I did a hatch before pool into 3rd hatch before gas whereas TheAntZ just 4gated me for the 5th time today.

When my expansion hatchery has just finished, his first 2 zealots arrived.





And I started my 3rd hatchery whereas AntZ just closed the entrance to my expo





While the zealot is chillin my lings start killin and i go freestylin when my lings go stylin.. Lol, I'm just so much into freestyle rap these days :D





Shortly after that one, AntZ just finished his all 4 warpgates and his proxy pylon was halfway done.





And here we go, the allin battle is taking place.



This is TheAntZ's army and there is my first wave of lings and 2 spine crawlers.



Wave 1 didn't live long enough.



But my 2nd wave just overwhelmed TheAntZ's army and that concluded the game.





FYI, this is Practice Game #5 in my rep pack.

Time to get serious, LoboMuzenza vs Infrawhite. Pupil vs Mentor.

Even before starting, I knew that Infrawhite can be up for some fancy strat, as he BC rushed, Mothership-carrier rushed, Infestor rushed me before. But this time, he just let me down.

I went the same build order as the previous game played against TheAntZ, Infrawhite going 1 gate core.





And I took my both extractors and started a lair, and then scouted the Twilight Council.





Infrawhite took his expo.



And built a Dark Shrine.



Actually after scouting the 1 gate twilight council, I was pretty damn sure about DT rush. So, I prepared accordingly.





He was like: "Hey Lobo, Surpr.. WAAAAAAAAAAAHT"



And I was like: "SURP-FUCKING-RISE DUDE!!!"



He just suicided his DTs with dealing exactly 0 damage.



I built a spire after that, and attacked with my mass slow lings:





But I was unable to take down the nexus.



But I had my mutalisks. I thought that just by massing mutas, I could win.



First, I was gonna take the nexus down.



But not too many mutalisks were remaining.



And I just double expanded right after that one.





Infrawhite came with a timing attack and ended the game.









Congrats man, for... errrrm, something like... 25th time or so?! I just don't remember. Practice Game #9 btw.

LoboMuzenza vs Elsid:

Elsid is a 1k+ diamond Terran player who agreed to be my practice partner. Shoutouts to Elsid too, just like Infrawhite and TheAntZ. But, in this game, I had no friggin idea about what to do besides mass banelings. I even didn't use a single infestor to stop ravens and i didn't use fungal except one engagement. But this game is better off compared to other one (we played 2 games and I went on writing my blog afterwards, because it seemed a little bit endless).

In this game, I again started with Hatch-First, and had my drone killed to his scouting SCV just because I thought he might double-bunker my ramp and deny my expo.




He opened with 2 early rax and late gas.




And I went on with baneling nest, he came with a handful of marines.





I produced banelings, made an infestation pit, and MOAR banelings.







He produced a raven, one of which will be my trouble for the whole game.



He took down my rocks and entered my base, but my banelings were hwaiting.





And again, MOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR banelings.



He popped up with marine-raven force and killed my expo





I killed more marines with banelings.



He took the gold expo and denied my banelings with a seeker missile without even letting me reach his nat.





I tried a little bit more, but typed out afterwards, no screenshots for the rest.

So, this concludes this part of my blog. I think it took something like 7 hours? to complete. Wow. Probably the longest one.
