On saturday night i will attend a masked ball couple contest. We'll have to dress as some complementary characters (so can't take characters that don't fit one with another).
I want to win it (pwn the noobs attending) so i'm asking you for help  . I need some ideas that are not very difficult/expensive to put in action, so no can't dress like any starcraft units  . This ball won't be in Bucharest but someplace else where i will be gone for 3 days, so i prefer not to rent a full costume because it must be for 3 days which would leave me broke :D.
It's not all about costume, the most important part isn't even the costume but the role played, so the best choice would be some "couple" characters from a quite known story (fictional or real) that are easy to recognize and have certain acting patterns that we can imitate, something that goes as complementary as it gets to look like a real couple.
So far what i thought of:
- Batman and Catwoman. Shouldn't be hard to dress up like that, just a mask and a mantle. However i don't see how we could play the role ...
- Shrek and Fiona. She didn't like the idea though
- Homer and Marge. I think we'd have enough info to play this role and people would understand. However i don't see how we could at least partly costume to resemble them
- Mickey and Minnie mouse. Shouldn't be that hard to costume (just find a ribbon with mouse ears). However, i have no clue how we could play the role... i'll make some research on it tomorrow to find if they have any behavior as a couple that we could imitate
- Napoleon and Josephine. Again the costume shouldn't be hard, i'm sure people will recognize Napoleon easily but not the same about Josephine. And i need to do some research to see if there's any neat roles to play as them.
I don't know exactly what will the "couple probes" be beside dancing.
I'm really pressed by time, gotta have it all down by thursday evening.
So help me up with some ideas folks, ideas/advices/suggestions with how to play the roles are even better.

Darth Vader and Leia are pretty popular choices. You just need something fun and recognizable. No one would recognize Josephine.
Homer and Marge aren't that fun.
She doesn't want to do Shrek.
Your other options sound great.

tasteless and artosis would be cute. Easy role to play and easier to dress up for.

But on a serious note. Batman and Catwoman are the best one on that list, but that one is a bit too obvious. I think Joker and Harley Quinn would be better, more bit more unique, and just as recognizable Those are also 2 batshit crazy characters, so you can have a lot of fun with that too.

That's a decent idea Ack, haven't thought of it. Though what more could we do to play the role outside yelling at her "me tarzan, you jane".
Hidden_motiveS, Darth Vader and Leia? Were they a couple? Good idea but i think Anakin and Leia is better, however costuming as darht vader is simple (just a mask), hard as anakin.

Piroko, i think that would be a bit too hard to recognize, and it has to be easily recognizable. Doubt people are so familiar with sailor moon (heck even i ain't, i had to google to see your suggestion).
Trezeguet, thing 1 and 2 aren't exactly a couple :D, King Kong and Fay Ray is nice and shouldn't be hard to make (just a mask) but not sure how recognizable that would be.. people would look and say "look it's a gorilla and a chick" i assume.
SNL Cheerleader couple, i had to google it, doubt that's recognizable (keep in mind my country ).
As hipsters, that is an idea we thought of.. we dropped it because we would simply not role play any character .
Cher and Sonny, uh.. no that no :p.
Mad hatter and Alice... i like that! And shouldn't be too hard to dress up resembling them, i'm more worried about the difficulty of the role play here. I'll bring it up with her tomorrow.

Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. YES HARRY NOT RON I can't believe the dumbest fuck in the novel gets paired with the hottest (and smartest) chick ever, or maybe that's only because Emma Watson turned out so much hotter than her role.
