Hello TL netizens!
I'm a fairly long time lurker of TL and I am creating a weekly blog about 2 of my hobbies outside of Starcraft BW and Starcraft 2. Poker and YuGiOh.
I'm a major follower of Proleague and sorta follow the GSL and I am currently a Low Diamond Zerg in SC2 and was a C- Zerg in BW during late season ICCUP.
As far as poker I know the basics but i just started and am following LiquidPoker.net to get better and playing 4 times a week to gain some experience
As for YuGiOh I play occasionally and visit my locals every sunday with a couple of friends and I run QDP if anyone is in the current YuGiOh Meta Game
Overall this is just a blog about my weekly encounters while I play SC2 and BW, Yugioh and Poker and possibly the occasional rant about some bullshit that happens to me throughout the week!!
Hope you guys will read and Enjoy!
P.S. If someone can tell me where I can get Starcraft based card sleeves and card playing mat that would be great

I've never seen SC related CCG paraphenelia. Most of those things are Japanese, and we all know SC isn't big in Japan. That said, a friend brought me Touhou card sleeves from Akihabara, and they're absolutely top notch, though they're the wrong size for yu-gi-oh. Clearly you should play Magic so you can have Reimu on your cards too.

I thought it had said "Yugioh and Pokemon." But in retrospect, that was pretty silly. Everyone knows that the pokemon card game has never been successfully played by anyone ever.
Just a quick question: is Magic or Yugioh the bigger card game? Never really followed any of that sort of stuff.

Magic has been out for about as long as BW (give or take a couple of years). That being said, it's still played worldwide, as far as I know. They still hold tournaments and such, so I would presume that it's still kicking (I stopped playing about a year ago due to work. I would assume a 13+ year old game wouldn't die that fast).
I don't know about YGO's popularity. I quit back when Chaos was released.

Magic is huge and has been out for WAY longer than Broodwars. That's like saying SC2 has been out for about as long as World of Warcraft.
|
It came out in 93, SC was 98, that's 5 years difference.

Magic has a giant competitive scene - Grand Prix Toronto is this weekend, with an expected 1000 player turn out. European Grand Prix get like 1500+ sometimes.

your best bet for sleeves and playmat are to get custom ones done.

yeah from my understanding magic is still going strong. not as mainstream as it was when it first came out tho(i played during tempest era)
Im kinda suprised there hasnt been a evolution in the card game market.. the formula has remained pretty much the same since magic was released. there is so much potential. I always wanted to make a ccg and add some kind of persistent/leveling stats and powers that carry over from game to game to give cards customization and depth ( cards get stronger the more they win)
also it would be sick if you lost a battle the card was captured/taken by opponent.
