weekly electronica mix 17 - minimal/repetitive

How's it going guys? Another week, another mix! This week's mix was originally going to be another classical-based one focused on minimal classical samples and sound-likes. However when it came down to collecting the tracks I found I had way over estimated the number of artists I had suitable stuff from. My thought was then to mix in for-reals minimal classical (Glass, Reich, Pärt, etc) but I felt the electronica tracks became less interesting in that context. Instead I went another route and found repetitive tracks featuring types of music... funk, psychedelic and all sorts of flavors of electronica. It all came together very nicely and I'm really happy to share it with you guys.

Glad to help! I can't work without music either, if there is none playing my awareness of the lack of music slowly takes over my consciousness until I can think of nothing else.

That's pretty cool, never used a music making program like ableton or cubase to mix. Working pretty good it looks like. Keep making these I like them for homework.

I do need to look into soundcloud, I love the ability to comment on specific moments in a track. I picked mixcloud because it is specifically for mixes and they supposedly pay radio royalties to the artists. I wish they'd up the 100mb track limit so I could do higher quality....
