Grijzeham United Kingdom50 Posts October 07 2010 13:47 GMT #1 Been spending a lot of my starcraft time trying to do funday monday but I got some games. Starting rank: 3 Finishing rank: 3 Games played: 8 Games won: Dunno... sould really starting writing that down. Notes: usual stuff, mechanics are still somewhat poor, though overall I'm feeling a lot more confident in all my matchups so thats nice. ZvZ: Been going ling > Muta still, scouting with first ling if I see banelings I get 1 or 2 banelings for defense then try to focus on faster mutas. ZvP: Played exactly 1 ZvP which I should have won easy but I messed up my unit control lost my entire army, then he countered... nothing special really. ZvT: Trying to stick with ling > muta, relying on scouting to stay alive... which I guess is good. Lost my last ZvZ cause I misclicked and thus lost 2 mutas before mine even started fighting. Won a ZvT where some guy tried some weird allin fast expand bunker contain, built 1 spine ignored the bunkers and killed main with lings. Currently I'm playing with little plan I generally know what units I want, but past 21 supply I have no build order I just kinda wing it. So my question is: Is that bad? do I need to starting planning everything I do or should I stick to this current way of playing?. Criticism appreciated can't get better without ! It's starskream :D Anyways maybe you need to play against suntzu or seven (I think suntzu since he's switching to zerg and is about platinum level with zerg I guess or he improved so much last 2 days). Can't watch replay yet (untill I'm home) so I'll give general advice only. You shouldn't really be saying 21 supply should I go X etc. You should feel more like do I have the money after I researched (speed upgrade for lings) for queens and after that when can I continue production producing drones can I tech to lair or w/e then. It may look like 24 or 21 supply but it depends on your timings and if you're getting pushed etc. U should have a main plan where u want to go with your BO but have the ability to adapt depending on your intel. Like in start you say keep producing drones constantly while making an overlord asap and keep producing drones while making a fast gas refinery and spawning pool and the like. Atleast that's what I usually do and I see others do it too.
