omg i decided to take a peek at what goes on at the TL irc channel.
and wow i am amused at the flawwed logic there.
GSL SPOILER below sort of.
they were all argueing that since a zerg won the gsl the next patch should be about buffing terran 0.o.0
but not joking they were full on going out explaining why terran is UP and how zerg is soooo good. stuff about how hellions should cost less. marauders costing no gas since they are a low tier unit. then going on about how the bunker change time has ruined thier strategies.
what i wanna know is just how in gods name can people have such flawed logic!
i understand we all have our own opinions and each to their own. BUT SEROIUSLY! im actually so confused!

Tbh I'd say like 80% of ["x class" is so "z powered"] is people just baiting people after [x class] win/loses a game. Every time Flash wins a game there's always someone who cries imba, and the same is pretty evident every time a terran/zerg won/lost in the GSL. Hence why in some of the live report threads Boes started telling people to stfu about balance, since there's always someone..
edit: Obviously there are the people who diligently discuss topics in depth via threads which support their claims with evidence, be-it replays, results, etc; however there are so many people who scream nothing but "WTFFFF!! TERRRAAN SOOO IMBAAAAAA" after some scrub gets owned by a higher-skilled opponent.

I wasn't paying attention when it was going on, but I do know the IRC channel and I don't think they were serious.

Well we can look at the stats, Idra is the king of the beta and Cool won the first GSL. Both players are zerg so zerg has won 2 out of 2 tournies that has included both korean and nonkorean players. Thus we can confidently conclude with our large sample size of 2 that zerg is indeed overpowered.

Of course zerg needs nerf, look how much more money they've earned from all tournaments combined!

It's likely a joke, using the same Zerg player logic against them as after some recent tournaments lots of Zerg players used Terran wins in the same manner. Two terrans in the finals, they must be OP, Terran won, look how OP etc.

Its just trolling 24/7 (myself guilty, but of course), or absolutely borderline retarded sc2 discussion (myself not guilty).

thats the thing that confused me the most.
i never talked to them i just sat there watching the convo so i would recieve internet rage.
though from reading the other comments about how seroius the irc is not. perhaps they were just in on some joke. either way must have been my mistake.

The IRC chat is a lot more sigh inducing than rage inducing for me, mileage may vary though. You do get some odd conversations, just try not to think too hard on things.

yeah the irc channel is always 24/7 trolling... when you ask whos playing you'll get 1 right answer probably twice then you will get people saying flash vs jaedong, boxer vs yellow, kwanro vs kwanro... and shit like that some of it is funny but after a while everybody tells the same jokes...
