i jusked skipped through the video in a few seconds. What you should do is download some replays from good players and follow their initial build orders. Even if you don't understand yet why they do the build oder like that, it is a lot better than the thing you did there. If you just try to stick to a good build order i think you will be in diamond very fast.

Why did you make the same thread again, 9 hours after the first?
Am I missing something

No, the first was moved to this section.. So I just decided to actually start a blog about it, which the first thread isn't included in. Apologize for the seemingly obvious double post.

meh i got bored halfway through, i don't understand all these "this is how you don't play sc" types of videos a beginner would be better off watching how things are done right as opposed to watching something done wrong and being told how it could have been better PS: you know you can click the minimap instead of using arrow keys to zoom all the way across?

I think you may have misread my description where I say this isn't for educational purposes? Also perhaps where I am looking for someone of high skill to co-cast these for that very reason?
And yes I know I can click the mini-map but I usually just mouse scroll

that's like saying i know hotkeys exist but i prefer to click things. It's just plain bad. Videos like this aren't interesting at all lol. No one wants to watch a bad player play with no reason really.
Even if you were trying to chronicle your adventure into getting better it's not viable for people in sc2 to want to watch that stuff really.
If you're making these videos for good players to watch lol good luck. You know the advice of get a build order and macro better takes you alot farther than you think.
That might be a video series though hey! Watch as i learn to perfect a build order thus taking me to upper level diamond! Because without abysmal macro it really can

Why be an arse? He never said it was for good players to watch
...so that maybe newer players can learn from my mistakes.
And why shit all over his idea? Why not just not comment if you don't like it?

I wanted to see if there would be an interest in something like what I did.. So far it has been kind of split. The videos are definitely not meant for high level players as there is, I agree, no reason to watch them. With the addition of a commentator joining me that can provide an in-depth look at gameplay I feel it will accomplish the point of doing this. Which is why I decided to try it out.
Documenting my games from where I am to where I want to be might seem pointless at this point, considering my skill level is fairly low. However, If (actually when) I get to the point of playing on a high diamond level (excluding pros for obvious reasons) I believe it will work out quite well for players that struggle with getting better. Being able to watch someone like me, who they might be able to connect with on a level of frustration, become a better player.
I appreciate the feedback. But I wish people would look a bit deeper into the idea rather than just cast it off based on my current game skill.

After watching the video I have just one word for you
Stim.
If you had stim + medivacs and fought right at the ramp along with your marines you could have OWNED that force, since the zealots would have been scrunched up at the ramp
Also that was a pretty bad scan, pat in the middle of nowhere.
Keep your scouting worker alive for as long as possible in his base. It forces him to delay his tech by getting a stalker out to kill the worker and then get a tech structure. Plus it gives you a fair idea of his subsequent building placements, the longer the scout is alive.
Your bunker placement was off. After you expanded at your nat you placed one bunker on the main ramp and one bunker on the natural. Should have just gotten both the bunkers at the natural and filled them with units. Generally if a toss sees 2+ bunkers he generally backs off. Also repair your bunker!
Your composition at the start was way too marine heavy. Consider opening fast marauder and pushing out with something like 2 marauders + 1 marine. If you time it right, he will have something like 1 zealot + 1stalker almost done and its a micro battle, which usually you should come out ahead because of concussive shell.
Finally, whenever you see a non-robot build by a protoss, you can simply force a build order loss by going cloaked banshees. It ends the game for him right there.
