This movie was terrible.
The built the stage for a brilliant cutting edge wall street drama and then transcended no farther then text messaging.
Overall I feel like Oliver Stone pulled a greed is good move on me and raped me and some friends for ten bucks a piece.
Do not pay the makers of this film!

Care to explain why you're surprised?

Care to tell me what your talking about?

If you put "spoiler" in the title of the blog, the people who are intending to watch the film won't click and your blog won't fulfill its purpose of telling them not to watch...
You probably should have just left it off - after all I don't notice any real plot spoilers...

A little more exposition would have been nice.
Oliver Stone has been terrible since he bequeathed Alexander upon the world. God It's sad considering how good the first movie was. (Or atleast how culturally significant).

He already said it was more of a relationship movie, which he pulled off pretty well.

I didn't know there was a movie with that title. When I read 'WallStreet' I think financial speculation.

I agree with everyone else that its in no way surprising (or a spoiler) that this movie blows. Here are some ways you can tell its going to suck long in advance of having to hand over $8:
-Its a sequel/remake of a significant movie/series/franchise that was popular in the 80s -It has an advertising budget rivaling NASA's funding. I must have seen 400 ads for this stupid shit between livestream and football over the last 2 weeks. Good movies never need to spend that much money to fill seats. -Has an iconic director that was once good, but probably only works now to pay alimony (or feed a cocaine habbit). -It has Shia LaBeouf (I can never figure out how the movies this dude is in make money, I have to use google just to figure out how to spell his name every time I want to diss him on the internet like the armchair quarterback I am)

I paid $4.50 to see it. It was ok. Obviously it's not as good as the original although there are many references/nods to it.

Is this a remake of the classic with Michael Douglas?
Shia LeBouf is one of Disney's supernatural anesthetists. He, like many a Disneywood celebrity, has been groomed from a young age to proselytize you. Any film he is in has subliminal messaging to program you for consumption and conformity. Don't look into his eyes.
