Have played about 25 ladder games past 6-7 hours. I have lost so many games. 7-18 or something in Diamond. Dropped from 1110 to 970.
I don't even know if I should continue. Never was my motivation so low as of now. About 12 of my losses were cheese most from Terrans and then Protoss never a 6 or 7 pool from Zerg. Always at the most unexpected places and even with micro I can't stop their cheeses.
But that isn't even the frustrating part. The most frustrating part is that I feel that I couldn't have stopped it better in those cheeses as in I have never had such good micro with my units in those games yet I lost.
Then I decide to cheese myself as well since it's so popular and working but then all my cheeses fail.
I wonder if anyone has ever reached such a low depth in their sc life and then wonder to continue or not >.>
The only games I won were normal macro games in PvZ mostly.
Anyone else know a solution to shake this slump off? I usually have some low slumps of 2-3 losing streaks but now with my losses over the 10 games it's really telling me something that I should drastically change within my play style. It seems I shouldn't focus on macro'ing rather just micro or something since I really like the macro aspect as Protoss. Expanding as much as possible.
It's really hard to go on especially since no one in my friends group plays sc2 only LoL and HoN so I'm mostly laddering 1on1 myself.
I'm almost thinking to just stop with sc2 but I just have the urge of just to continue and tommorow break my slump and get over with it.
How do you guys think I should deal with this slump? Just continue or just let my mind rest and cool down or something.

u should be happy since u up-to another level.
Start losing means vs better opponents.

if you see a proxy, just kill their main, and try not to worry as much about your main. Thats all i can say about cheesing. Still havent figured out how to stop a cannon rush though
|
@shaskira I know I can be better than the ones I'm losing now.
@rkie The thing is if a T cheeses I can't get to their main. My stalker won't come out fast enough before my probes are dead and the T can just switch to Marauders which he already has the addon for it.

I have hit those lows before man. it happens, happens to everyone. crap days on the ladder. i just grab a coffee and go for a walk and come back the next day and try again.

Take this as a sign from the sc2 gods that you have to work on your cheese defense. And stop thinking about your rating, who really cares.

If you aren't having fun laddering, just play some custom games with other TL guys or something for a change I know that if I ever get sc2, I'd basically never ladder ... come to think of it, the lack of channels really hurts this doesnt it Do you really want that channel?

You say your micro has never been better. Maybe your problem is strategical/tactical and not mechanical. Like, your build order or your unit placement or building placement, or scouting.

Yea guys Iwent on to sleep Just to cool off before I actually go rage Now that I'm thinking clearly the problem lies more in my building placement. I usually try to wall off but vs Terran I do a sim city to keep it tight and to prevent bunker rush in my mineral line. The problem is I just need to stay calm in those situations and wait till my stalker finishes. The problem is that I should be more carefull with my units when I'm being cheesed since I actually could have let them live longer.
And besides that. I think I should switch to Zerg. I like the macro aspect of starcraft and it might suit me more. Thanks for the replies guys :D I've been motivated again.
