So I am a zerg player, and lately ive found that on steppes of war it is both hilarious and highly successful to 6 pool any protoss i encounter. more often than not it is successful. i would say maybe 4 out of 5 games it works.

I think every single game the protoss player has harassed me in some form about being a "skill-less noobie". Is it just people getting mad that they lost? or that they lost to cheese? or since i am a skill-less noobie, does that mean that they are even worse?

^_^ oh the internets, how i love to be an online troll in game.

I think at that level few people expect cheese, which is partly why you are so successful. Taking advantage of the metagame is pretty smart to be honest... speaks more of you than "skilless noob". Also for some reason I always expect cheese like crazy when the player says nothing... almost like they feel guilty about it and partake in no human communication in order to help themselves feel better or something. I've read about it in threads but not really sure as to the truth. If you are like "HAI GL HF :D :D

You're not trolling unless you tell them you're a skill-less noob upfront. A troll is someone who lies about who they are or what they do and see how many people believe it. I guess someone can say "you're cheesing, so you're doing something one wouldn't expect from a 900 Diamond ergo you're a troll", but that's just throwing a word around that really has no place in a strategy game.

However, I do think it's funny the amount of crap you get for it. I made a Protoss cry a couple hours ago. It's funny. I guess that will teach them to scout on a small map...

this isnt as bad as the terran reaper rush, but i still lose to 6 pool on steppes quite often... i just HATE scouting before 10 supply, my poor economy -_-

You cant defend a 6pool with a 12gate on Steppes without baller probe micro, and thats assuming the protoss isn't trying for a fast expand.

Why not just 10 gate blind, and scout in time to decide whether or not to send out your first Zealot?
