The last couple of months i have listened to ANB's Agorapocalypse so much that i'm starting to think that it's impossible for me to find another album as good as that one. I generally don't like grindcore that much, actually i think the only grindcore i like so far is ANB, there is something about the vocals and Scott's sick drum programming that does it for me.
Agorapocalypse is the perfect album for me right now, it's not as insane as their previous stuff but it's still craaaazy good. The quality is great and it doesn't have that sleazy distorded "shitty" quality that many grindcore bands strive for.
Gah, it's really hard to pinpoint what exactly it is that makes ANB (specially Agorapocalypse) so much better than the other similar bands, but if you could recommend something similar with the same awesome quality that would be sweeet!
It's kinda hard to recommend anything like ANB, but if you want high quality goregrind/grindcore, get Discordance Axis, Insect Warfare, Last Days Of Humanity, Mucupurulent, and Nasum.

I don't really know what you're getting at with the whole "critical worth"-thing, they sound good and that's all i care about.
Discordance Axis... .. nuff said... Their drummer, david witte, is the most insane grindcore drummer of all time. Single kick bass drum.... and still sounds better than most double kick drummers.
