http://www.helloko.com/2010/09/why-startups-should-only-hire-good-starcraft-players/
Randomly saw this link pop up on my twitter feed. I read a lot about entrepreneurship and tech startups in general, thought it was interesting. Nothing too revolutionary to anyone who is decent at SC (we all know deep down we're awesome), but it's nice when RL converges with gaming in a positive light.
Since this is a blog post I figure this is a good time to link my twitter (I'm new, so forgive the plug). www.twitter.com/kevinyko feel free to follow if you're interested in what I have to say about my life as a professional poker player and aspiring entrepreneur .

How come you're not on aim today?

Haha, good read, but I feel like the writer knows just barely enough Starcraft to make it seem like he knows Starcraft to someone who doesn't know Starcraft.
"Good StarCraft players (in my opinion) play random." Wtf? Good Starcraft players don't necessarily play random. They learn enough about other races through the matchups that they are capable of offracing, but they still stick with one race and get good at it. Hell, if they played random, we wouldn't have the need for the term "offracing."
"Good StarCraft Players Don’t Forget To Scout (And Don’t Obsess Over Scouting)" They do obsess over scouting. Early game before the armies engage is all about scouting and denying your opponents scout. If your scout dies, send out another one. They obsess over scouting so that they know what their opponent is doing.
All the other points were pretty accurate, but he's kind of stretching it with those two.

http://www.tofugu.com/about/ ... I assume you're that guy?
"Koichi has a background in (guerrilla) marketing, and has consulted, worked for, or advised numerous companies, including bestplaces.net (America’s #1 source for location-based studies), lang-8 (language learning community), pixiv.net (Japan’s fastest growing website), eduFire.com (online webinar community marketplace), and more. "
Edit: Ah nm ... you're not that guy ... you just found the link? Sidenote: When did you graduate from Diamond Bar ... I have a couple of friends who graduated back in 2002.

Correct.
I wish I were him, he's a known comedic personality on youtube as well . Graduated DBHS 2006.

I agree with your point on the random part. In my opinion, good players would BE ABLE to play random, they would not necessarily play random though.
And I think what he meant by obsess over scouting was good sc players don't sacrifice economy/mess up timings by focusing too much on scouting.

Haha, good players can scout to their heart's desire without messing up timings or economy. Flash has enough APM to drink Pocari Sweat while microing his scout AND worker spam at the same time. There's also Bisu's probe micro. Too good.

Bisu in his prime once sent out 5 probes in a span of 1-2 minutes to scout.
