What if you did see his race and you still ask it (not letting opponent know that) and opponent still says different race. What is your reaction to that? Are you going to reveal that you know his true race or be quiet about it? I guess you would be happy that he is lying. Most likely opponent will cheese against you. So thats why its better not to reveal tactics by talking. | ||

When I was playing long time ago WC3 if I faced random I asked "I missed your race, what is it?". Some times they tell you honestly even if they are random but mostly they forgot that they are playing random and should not tell. I stopped typing "gl hf" or something like that because I started to notice certain builds what players use depending what timing they reply back. For example, UD vs UD you know when opponent goes fiends or ghouls because chat timing. So better not to chat. CUSTOM games this doesn't matter because its only fun but ladder seems to be "do whatever to win" type of games. | ||
