Couple days ago, I found a little red spot on the side of my body and perceived it to be just a tiny little rash. Not a really big spot, but just a tiny little speck about the size of a dime.
Two days later, the entire right side of my body is filled with like a band of this red rash shit and after seeing the doc earlier today, I've learned that I've apparently got Shingles, which is like Adult Chicken Pox, but worse.
Apparently, it's supposed to hurt like hell, but I haven't noticed any of that yet, just a lot of itching and irritation. I'm feeling tired every single day, no matter how long I sleep for. Just wondering if anyone here has had Shingles before and what their experiences were, cause I heard it's supposed to really suck.
I haven't personally, but have had two relatives, and a friend or two of one of them that have. They've all said it's painful. My one aunt was in so much pain, she didn't want to get out of bed for some time, but forced her self into work. She had some medicated patches that helped relieve the pain, and it'd probably be wise to look into that.
Her friend has had them for what seems like 10 years now. My aunt that was referenced initially, and another aunt have had them, and they went away in what was probably about a 2-3 weeks maybe. Aunt 1 has had them more than once, aunt 2 has only had them once, but not much time has passed since the first occurrence.
What I'm trying to convey is this: they are supposedly pretty painful, three "victims" of them will attest to that in my family/friends. They come back sometimes, and apparently this is pretty normal, because it's a virus, and cannot be killed.
GL with it, hopefully the pain won't be too bad. I'm scared to get them, myself. I'm not sure if they're contagious or not.
