If you watched the Big Bang Theory, there was one episode which Sheldon got stuck on a problem and decided to go to find a common job believing that it would help him to find the solution (he referred to how Einstein devised most of the theory of relativity while working in a patent's office). He went to an agent to find one, but the officelady thought he was crazy and called security.
I want to know the word Sheldon used in that episode to describe those kinds of jobs. It sounded like "DE-MEAN-IAL" or something like that but I can't find it on dictionary.com.
Please don't laugh at me I suck at spelling.
EDIT: this is solved. Many thanks.
