Insane AI achievement

So in the Beta I earned the achievement for beating 7 insane AI's in a custom game because I wanted a portrait that few people seemed to have. I did it by choosing terran, setting all computers to zerg, and flying straight to the island expansion in the corner where I would mass turrets, vikings, and then BC's while taking the other island. Eventually I was able to keep mainland expos safe and it was pretty much A-move BC's from there. Pretty easy as the AI refuses to make corrupters and use overlord drop.

However, I just attempted this achievement again in the retail version and I was surprised to see that the computer decided to mass corrupters and had learned to use overlord drop quite effectively. My 7 BC's melted to the ~30 corrupters while the ovies spit roaches and hydras all over my base.

So anyone been able to get this achievement and portrait since the game came out?

I tried all insane zerg in beta. They always made corrupters and overlord dropped me.

Easiest way to get the achievement is to make all ai protoss.

Weird. Maybe we tried it at different stages in the beta?

The one time I tried an insane protoss AI it DT rushed me lol. What kind of build did you use to earn it against protoss AI's?

That is for winning a 8player FFA with 7insane computers. Just load up that 8player map, put all as zerg and pray they will all kill each other. I only had to kill 1 to get the achievment :p

I did it with the island float -> BCs, you just have to control your BCs carefully. You can also sneak expansions on the rock-barrier-ed expansions on Extinction, when I played the comp never took them or even attempt to attack them.

I floated to rock block base, fast expanded to other and was 1-1 on air ups just about to make BCs with my decent economy when they hit me... well I retreated to both actual islands and massed up to 20-ish BC with 3-3 and Yamato and finally burst out, yamatoed corrupters and won it easily. Also I had all AI set into random.

Outmatched versus 4 Very Hard was actually way more challenging, since they reacted to spines in their bases way better than during beta.

has anyone managed to beat 1v4 insane in retail version? i used to beat this in the beta with dual cannon rush on arkaran citadel but now the insane ai seems to be much more aggressive.
