if you're not good with people get a job where you don't have to interact, it will be much less stressful for everyone involved. i wish my boss would try to get me laid and tell jokes all day.

^So Baller! Speaking of which, my advice to you is to be more baller. Ask for less shifts but change your attitude, like a true baller. Block out the bad vibes and grind it out. I'd be very pleased if I was the manager and you came in after a week off with a fresh attitude, a smile, a sincere apology(doesn't have to be long or glamorous,) and a commitment (verbal is good) to improving your attitude (you already were a good employee, manager knows this.) You'll be better off in the end!

Also it's wise to leave a job on a good note so you can have a good reference/recommendation for your next job.

I remember quitting working part time for close to minimum wage in university was the BEST decision I've made in life so far.

It's a part time job. not a big deal if you decide to just pick up another one.

Or just deal with it. Works sucks and there are assholes everywhere, everyone knows.

Keyword in the title was "rant"

I'm sorry if I wasn't logical or reasonable in my explanation in the OP but I just needed to vent.

For anyone who has written a blog on TL.net, I'm sure you all know there's always more to the story than what is posted just because of time and length.

(Here's a part of the story that I didn't think I had time to write, I was promoted to assistant manager but turned it down because of how many more hours I would have to work. But I got those hours anyway which prevented me from doing 2 major volunteer jobs that would've have looked great on my resume for the job that I really want down the line. Of course, everyone needs money so I had to give up those positions because my manager wasn't able to compromise with me.)

I appreciate all your feedback and some of you guys have really pushed me in the right direction so thank you guys.
