Getting a new phone within the next couple of months, and I've been wondering what people think about these two phones. So far, based purely on features, I'm definitely leaning towards the Droid X. Verizon also seems like a better carrier than AT&T, and anecdotally has better coverage where I'll be using it (University of Chicago). However, the problem is that whatever phone I get will be replacing my iPod, and I do have a significant amount of DRM music from iTunes that, as far as I know, won't play on a Droid.
So basically, should I suck it up and lose some of my music? Should I try to burn all of it to CDs and re-rip it (ugh)? Should I shell out money for a program that automatically does that for me? Is there another option for removing DRM? Or should I just go with the iPhone?
