Any advice guys? Carriers don't seem too good.

i take it this game is happening right now?

unfortunately carriers are trash in sc2 cuz there's no mech. specifically no goliaths.

One base carriers? What are you doing?
Contrary to what some posters say carriers are actually useful if you manage to build up a control group or so. They can easily defeat more than their weight in Vikings as long as you micro, and Thors are only slightly more difficult. They have trouble vs MMM but you wouldn't have gone carriers if you saw that type of army composition.

Once the upgrades for carriers kick in they're really strong, the damage output is just insane and the high armor is nice. Coupled with a Stalker/Sentry/Immo army they're quite difficult to take out. On their own they can get kited by large numbers of anti air units.

Mass void rays in any group game destroys everything else. Get a second expansion, get enough gateway units to hold off a small attack or harass until allies come (let them know you're teching) then just get 3 stargates and mass up on void rays. Probably get the air upgrades from the cyber core as well.
