This might not sound too severe in the grand scheme of things, except that when I play wow, it's all I do. I don't sleep regularly, I avoid friends, I ignore both of my girlfriends, etc. Subtle. But I got it.

Asuming you are having the same email regged. In my opionion it isn't worth it, unless you have like top tier gear and can get loads of cash for the account.

but ya...get some sleep man. I went through a year and a half of wow addiction too and the only thing that stopped me was selling my acct, not just canceling the subscription. The game has a way of clawing at you and not letting go. Scary stuff. Way scarier than crack, not that I've ever tried it.

So, 16 months later - present time, here I am, 22 years old, living at home with my mom and my stepdad(which is driving him nuts lol), no drivers license, no education, unemployed(well it's a shit market so can't get ANY jobs atm). I still get bursts of anxiety when I go out amongst people. I MEAN WTF!? what the hell is that? All becuase I wanted to play fucking games on a computer........ Fuck it, we can blame the developers all we want, and true, once you're in, it's hard to get out BUT... _we_ made the choice to start, so make the call to gtfo is my advice. I took my desktop and smashed it, because I knew it was the only way I was ever gonna get rid of it. lol. I bought a laptop a year ago, so it took me aprox one year to be able to even own a computer.. I'm finally at the point now where I can look for jobs and go to interviews without cold sweating(idk what you guys call it). It's been a long road tho. A 2 year long road in fact, and I'm still not quite there, but it's close now, I can smell it! To be honest I hope this scares the crap out of you, and makes you think about it. Think about the worst thing that can happen if you continue. Is that where you wanna be in 2-3-4-10 years? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say no. So man up, unsbcribe from WoW and don't look back.

![]() I've been in forums and MMOs for the whole time, and I thought the gaming industry was my calling. Turns out the community here is worth crap because the businesses don't know worth a shit how to run an MMO and create a captive audience. All my business training is now worth crap because of it, but I just realized that it's better to leave them all behind.

Although even a 5 year old could get to glad in S1 with holy pally/arms combo. Rofl. Anyway. I got back into it for some reason...I don't even remember why, but I started playing again and got insta-rehooked. It was nuts. I quit again not too long after Wrath came out, but I ended up becoming really good friends with some of the Warhammer Online devs (yes that game sucks). One of the guys' wife is my coworker so I met them all through her. Not too long after meeting them, I found out they all had a guild and played WoW. LOL. So I joined up with them and got re-hooked. Quit AGAIN, but eventually restarted and transferred to a new realm to be with my current girlfriend...but she and I eventually quit because we decided life would be alot more fun if we actually went out and HAD a life instead of just pissed away all of our time on WoW...which really has degraded alot since the original game. Remember when every weapon looked unique? And the more rare and more good stats it had, the more epic and badass it looked? Now they want everyone to have GIANT MOTHERFUCKING EPIC SWORD OF EPIC for their 20 minutes of random dungeoning. Lame. Whatever happened to putting in time and effort to get something rewarding. Bah. Stopping my rant now. Quit forever, mOnion. SEE THE LIGHT. YOU CAN DO IT.
