EPTAnyway, after a terrible start some where in the 12-16 range I sorted out how to play and ended up going 15-3 in my last 18 games as a bronze to end up 42-26, far and away 1st in my bronze league. Immediately after I moved up, patch 12 took effect. Playing like almost every other zerg, roaches were a crucial part of my build tanking for the hydras. As my free time disappeared I hadn't played since the ladder move or the patch. Today for the first time I logged on and the computer still thought I was tearing through my competition because I was in silver with a decent ratio.
To make a long story short, I was thrown against golds and platinums all day today and ended up losing 8 of 9. I get the feeling there are many zergs like me who will be feeling the hurt this week after a significant change but playing against skilled competition. I can only hope there is some undiscovered solution to this or blizzard is just making the roach change to flush out a different metagame.
There really isn't a point to this post but after the most frustrating night of my young SC life, I needed a place to vent my feelings. Zerglings/banelings are going to get a real workout in the coming days......
