It's going to be a longer read than I expected, so here is a monster dnb choon which just hasn't gotten the love it deserves yet.

I'm a 18 year old from the Netherlands who has lurked TL for about a year and a half (since GOMTV). I started posting only recently, the reason probably being that I invested more hours into playing SC2 instead of holdem HU online, which automatically means I spend less hours posting hands on a poker forum, which means more free hours to waste on TL in the form of reading the TL SC2 strategy forum and watching Gretorp bop clowns (which is never a real waste of time anyway).
I'm currently in gold division because I thought it was a good idea to lose some placementmatches on purpose because I wanted to be able to get used to and explore all the races abilities against some bad opponents, since I figured to they would give me the chance to so. I accidentally won 3 of my placementmatches (literally) which got me into gold. Which happens to be the most cheesy/early game all in style division ever.
After about 50 games spread out over all of the 3 races I find myself ranked #3 in my gold division. I can't really seem to pick one race, so I kinda pick one impulsively: If I see an awesome VOD of someone playing a particular race in an awesome fashion, I will play that race to for the next couple of games, until I see someone else doing awesome shit with a different race.
It's the kind of decision making you see little kids have: When they see an older, way cooler kid eating chewing gum, they want to have chewing gum. If they see someone awesome playing guitar in a cool fashion, they want to play guitar as well.
However, one of life's many lessons lies right around the corner. A warriors true strength does not lie in his weapon, but in the way he wields it.
This probably means that I need to pick 1 race eventually, since dedication conditions skill. It's probably going to be Terran or Prottoss, although I do play a very macro heavy style, I feel like my biggest edge lies in my game sense and ability to make decisions at high speed. My mechanics are ok but not really my strong point. The way I feel about is that Zerg awards strong mechanics most, Terran decision making and Prottoss micro (the race feels like it's straight form WC3 with it's reliance on spellcasters and units with special abilities).
I would like to have some feedback on these assumptions by you TL people, so feel free to flame away
Sincerely,
