Anyone ever seen anything like this? I was looking on a website for work (I'm unemployed + seeking) and I though it was an add for bookmaker wanted someone who understood odds etc... anyway I emailed them and received this reply... is this a scam ?
Hi and many thanks for your reply to my advert. The first point i would like to make is that these opportunities are 100% genuine and 100% secure-you will not be spammed or scammed in any way - neither will you be asked for any monies "up-front" although i do charge a commission of £10 for every £60 profit that you make(paid in arrears). What i do is provide instructions/training enabling my agents to take money off the bookmakers each and every day-absolutely "risk-free" by playing them off against each other and taking advantage of the offers available. You can use it just to generate some spending money or come and work with me on an on-going basis-full support will be provided and no experience is required. We start with the opening account offers and then move onto the on-going promotions that allow us to release monies for "free". Only reputable Blue Chip bookmakers are used most of which are household names. All you need to do is to follow simple instructions as you go through your training period but you will soon pick up the methods-i have a list of 45 Bookmakers coupled with all the relevant codes that will allow you to maximise your revenue. Just try this first sample and if you follow the simple instructions you will earn a mininmum of £100 in your first week and £200 in your second week-Tax Free and Risk Free. Just try this it is very simple! 1)Ring Corals Bookmakers 0800242232(Standard Rate Phone Call)-open an account and deposit £10 quote ref SUN(you saw the add in the Sun Newspaper)-this will then give you a £20 Free Bet when you have placed your first £10 Bet. Tennis Tonight ATP Madrid Masters S.Wawrinka v M.Granollers Starts 22.30. Back Wawrinka to win at odds of 1/4 with the £10 and tell them that you want to save your £20 Free Bet until later. If Wawrinka wins you will have £12.50 in your account which you can withdraw straight back to your bank and you also have a £20 Free Bet which i will show you how to trade out at a profit. In the unlikely event that Granollers wins you will have lost £10 but still have a £20 Free Bet which i will show you how to trade out of to recover this and also generate a profit. Any problems ring or text 07757048952. Cheers Roger

Rule #1 if it sounds too good to be true it is. This just seems like a pyramid scheme that baits in suckers and then they use you to make their profits while you struggle to earn anything.
|
True.. but this doesn't sound THAT good and I mean you can sit at home filling in online surveys for money... that sounds "too good" to be true but it is O_O
Not disagreeing with you man, I'm highly dubious about this, that's why I posted it xD

Yes, its a scam.
A good tip off is the amount of effort they put in trying to convince you it isn't a scam.
|
see the part where you deposit money into some account? that's called a scam.

is it just me, but doesn't this just scream SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM and SCAM?
Key phrases to pay attention to: "100% (adjective)" actually means 100% non-adjective. E.g. "100% safe" = 100% you're gonna get assraped. "All you need to do is..." actually means, do this and you'll get assraped. "Just try this first sample..." actually means, try this first sample and you'll get assraped. "Just try this it is very simple!" actually means, if you try this, it's really simple, you're going to get assraped.
This is either a SCAM or a complicated money-making scheme, either of which you'll end up being assraped.
So unless you really like that kind of stuff, I'd advise you stay away from it...

lol, they won't ask for your monies
Doesn't sound too promising!

"although i do charge a commission of £10 for every £60 profit"
This is where I stopped reading.

haha I know a guy who became a millionaire following professional betters (owns a mansion in Tooting now) but I doubt this guy is in fact 'for rela'

this is a scam.. unlike pay to click websites which provides a few cents for your efforts.
|
I'm fully willing to accept this is a scam.. it looks and sounds like a scam...
Let me ask you this though.... if this wasn't a scam how would it read? How would someone making this offer legitmately word it? Sc4k doubts this guy is for real, which must be from his email as this is all he knows about him... What would it take to make you believe that this guy is for real and not just a scammer...
|
He's for rela.
it's a good thing you're skeptic about these stuff..

even if he's not trying to scam you (which he is, he's just letting you take risks with your money and mooching off the profits if it happens to work out), he's obviously a completely untrustworthy sleazebag because the job itself consists of scamming betting companies
|
SCAAAAAAAAAAAM. Pyramid scheme anyone? lol
|
Feel free to prank this guy, the number is in the OP
edit: what's all this "for rela" business, did I miss a meme or something?
|
I can't believe you actually read the whole thing.

FU lol.. you guys ever hear of gumtree? It's a very common website... I've found work + accomodation here before... never before have I seen this sort of thing... This is the first time ever I've seen something like this.. I thought it was kind of risky to post a blatant scam under the jobs section of a real website with your real phone number? Just didn't seem to add up to me...
It doesn't hurt to double check
