So, on friday morning I finally get my beta-key I have been waiting for like forever. Im happy in the pants and all is well, eventhough I just spent 25 dollars extra on prebuying it from Gamestop USA eventhough I live in Norway. So, I download the betaclient, still very happy in the pants, install works perfectly, I load up the game in excitement, and BAM "Starcraft 2 has stopped working" It then suggests to me that I need to update my operating system (fuck Vista I hate it but it was all I had atm) so I spend 2 hours trying every smartfix there is out there, downloading new drivers to my video card, renaming battle.net folder, deleting cache files, updating that gay vista some more, and still no luck.
Then, 7 hours later, my girlfriend brakes up with me, and you would think its cool because I got the beta but noooo, that freakin beta wont work, and now im upset 
Oh well, rant off I guess. If anyone have any good tips for this, that would be awesome. I downloaded the crack client to run the singleplayer before betaclient came out, and that actually launched the game, so in theory, my computer should be able to handle it.
I have tried uptdating vista, video card drivers, reinstalling. Basically, I get the loadscreen, and when that is done, I see the "planet" thingy for like 1-2 secs then it crashes

That sucks about your day, though at least you seem to be in a cheery enough mood that you didn't come here and write another essay-long blog about your life and your relationship, only for ETT to come and swiftly smash it all between your hands.
As far as the problem goes though, no ideas, though I would check the SC2 technical assistance/problems forums.
edit: Just watch, just as your Starcraft starts working a gorgeous girl will move in next door and totally start sending you hints. Haha!

What's your graphics card? It doesn't really sound like a card issue though, as it actually starts up.

as for the beta, US gamestop? ya, it's probably some conflict with the fact that you are in europe and beta is trying to load you on a US server. i'd message blizzard to be sure, but that's the only thing I can think of. That or the crck version is conflicting with the real beta. try totally wiping out both versions, and then reinstall the real beta, and if it doesn't work it's probably because the US version isn't compatible with your computer, in which case you're shit outta luck

I doubt it's the problem, but right click on your Starcraft II.exe and trying running it as an administrator. Or better yet just go in to its properties and see if there's anything you can fuck around with that might change something.
Pff, you didn't need her anyway. StarCraft will never leave you; it waits for you to leave it. AND. THAT. DOES. NOT. HAPPEN.

Tried wiping the cracked version and have tried running it as an administrator. From googling my graphics card, its obviously a crappy one, but its atleast supposed to be good enough to play. As for not talking so much about my gf braking up with me, obviously it sucked, but it wasnt that bad for me either, as I wasnt totally in love with her, then it would really suck. And you probably dont want to hear a sappy whine story
I think it might have something to do with vista, as its the crappiest os ever, and fucks up other games as well. Think I might just make a contest and share the betakey with whoever can give me the winning tip to make it work :D
