Hello, I'm not a huge fan of asking for help from you guys but this is getting really frustrating.
Me and my friend have been using sc2 mic chat to speak since he didn't have ventrilo and the chat wasn't too bad when playing 2v2. But, when we try to 1v1 we can't speak to each other so he decided to get vent.
I'm new to vent and would like some help fixing mic delay. I made a server and it has low ping so the lag shouldn't be because of any lag problems.
My friend has no delay but when I speak I get any where from 1 second to 6 seconds of latency. When we used sc2 to speak we had no delay but in vent I get erratic latency.
Does any one know a way to fix my latency?

wait. you payed for the server or did you just make it from your computer?

Running as admin might help if you aren't doing so already.
And what OS are you running? if you have windows 7, go to task manager, right click ventrilo.exe, and set priority to realtime (if you don't ignore this.)

I made an 8 person server.
I'm running windows 7, when I changed it to real time it said I can't set it to real time and set it on high instead.

It won't let me change the priority when I run as admin.
The latency is getting worse the longer I'm on vent.
