Man this is embarrassing. I just decided to go and play a FFA game just to get back into the groove of playing again. You see due to what I can only define as essay hell I couldn't get any Starcraft games in for three days or so and I decided to ease back in, a little nervous now that patch 8 has hurt my precious roaches.
Let's say I'm playing horrible.
Now tomorrow is my first real day for myself I've had in a long time and I plan to take it to recover from this demon cold that has also been a fun companion during the academically most intense part of the year and recover. This means lots of sleeping in but also some stress relief by finally playing some god damn STARCRAFT!
Hopefully the roach nerf isn't too bad and with the Marauder nerf that means that Marauders are more or less at the threat level of Stalkers now. I'm a little more worried about ZvP after this patch. The roach nerf means a huge change in early and mid game mechanics with the Protoss and combined with the reduced health of the Hydralisk, I'm not too sure how well I will fare.
I mean ZvP was my worst matchup before and now I think I might reach firebathero levels. And in the silver league about 150% of players seem to be Protoss so this is going to be rough for a while.
The last few patches have been pretty hard hitting to the Zerg so I have a lot of learning to do, probably schedule some more time with machine after class ends and see how much I can do.
