As usual, try out the mice in real life before buying it online, especially if it's Razer with it's less than conventional designs. Otherwise you might get a mice that you'll end up hating despite good specs.

whats the difference with Salmosa, it looks exactly the same...

this mouse is awesome.
i have used logitech, krait, salmosa...
abyssus (despite strange name) really is the best mouse that i have used. the control is far superior to the salmosa and krait which are my next favorite mice respectively.

How large is this mouse compared to the Krait? I find most Razer mice are too big for fingertip-style grips (which is the most efficient grip for RTS games and the one most starcraft players use). I use the Krait for its nice small shape and ease of clicking. Wish I could still use the Logitech Mini Optical as I did for brood war, but it's just way too slow on my new 16 : 9 monitor (1920x1080 resolution).

For those of you thinking about getting a Salmosa... Don't. I've tried this mouse out, and although the shape is nice (still a bit too wide though), it doesn't click as easily as you want it to for a game like SC2.

For those too lazy to click the link, its slightly wider (~3mm wider) while slightly shorter (about 5mm shorter).

Edit: I did buy this mouse off of the link provided, and with shipping and handling the price was boosted to 32~ish dollars. This is comparable to the Amazon price of 31$ (which I believe you can get for free shipping). However, at 32 dollars, the mouse came in in about 3-4 days, which is way better than Amazon's shipping rates. For those of you interested lol

I'm not sure about the feet, but the Abyssus has slightly better internals (probably doesn't make a difference for most people) and a better coating on the outside. I don't know how "clicky" it is to compare. Aside from that, they're basically the same.

I'm waiting for the SC2 mice. I'm pretty certain they'll consult the pros in the design process, so i at least want them on the market before i buy an SC2 mouse (high DPI RTS mouse).

Abyssus looks pretty sweet. I'm currently using a dodgey microsoft mouse so I was thinking to upgrading to either this or the zowie mouse that julyzerg endorsed

This is a pretty good mouse for SC, forces the claw grip which imo is a much better grip than the palm for RTS.

My only grip about it is that there are no browser forward/back buttons. I got used to those

I own the mirror version and fingerprints are not a problem. Also, the mirror grip is alright; I'd prefer the grip found on the Deathadder or the Roccat Kone+ though. Gets greasy quick.
