Ebay/Paypal experts please help

justiceknight Singapore5741 Posts March 17 2010 05:07 GMT #1 Ok i gonna learn to do online transaction so if you have any experience with ebay/paypal pls do help me ^_^ i am going to setup a paypal account and dont own any credit card.My bank account is POSB ,now i have several questions 1) i know that sending $$ doesnt get charged but the receiver will get charged by whatever % listed there .I also saw a "return fee" what does it do? 2) I read about the reverse of transaction and didnt understand this part.Eg: you are a seller in ebay[sell small stuff like cards] and the buyer choose regular mail .So the buyer pay $ then u click "ok to ship" right?? After that the buyer decided to play cheat and claim item not received.What method do you use to settle this? 3) I want to link the posb acc to the paypal ,should i use a credit card or debit card?? which 1 is preferable?? Is there anyway to apply online or must go down to the bank and do the application?? 4) Lets say i sold a stuff in ebay which is $10,when the buyer pays the $$ the amount of $ i receive is lesser than $10?? [minus $$ due to ebay charge and paypal charge] Your help is appreciated ,thanks.

So no fek United States3001 Posts March 17 2010 05:22 GMT #2 Can't answer all your questions, but I'll do my best. 1. No idea on a return fee. 2. A tracking number. If the item sells for over $200, you're required to have it signed for upon delivery. 3. Don't know what POSB is, tbh. I think you can link both, but I'm not sure if there's any difference. With a credit card (and possibly a debit card), there is a small fee on all money you send. 4. It's pretty lame sometimes. There's an eBay fee, which isn't automatically taken out. You usually have a month to pay all the fees you acquire during a selling period. And then if the person paid with a credit card through Paypal, another fee. As far as I know, there isn't a Paypal fee if they paid with a linked bank account. I sold an item on eBay last year for $550, and by the time eBay and Paypal fees were taken out, I had about $470.
