Premise: Guy + girl meet @ 16. Perfect for each other. They tell each other, if truly perfect, will meet once again in their lifetime and they will know for sure. So they part ways.

In their 30's - they pass by each other, thinking they know the other person. But they hesitate. And walk on, continuing their lives.

If anyone knows the author of this / name , greatly appreciated. Somebody posted it on TL before, but I couldn't find it.

Are there lots of stories like these? I remember the movie Serendipity had a very simliar theme, although the chronology may be off.

I highly recommend 5 cm per second to anyone who hasn't seen it.

Although it isn't quite as sad as people think IMO, very bittersweet and simple movie with gorgeous art

Idk, I liked 5cm/sec.

how love sometimes doesnt work and you gotta move on even if you expect some crazy ass reunion
