So heres the situation. I am 16, she is 15. Shes a great girl, attractive, good christian, happy, basically everything i look for. well anyways the dealio is recently we have been getting along well but the problem is that she isnt allowed to date until she is 16(i am 16). she turns 16 next october.
This obviously brings up the problem of the friend zone. I would hate to wait all that time and just be friends. The original plan was to take her to the junior prom and get on the sort of "verge of relationship" area and just hold that out until then. I figured her parents would let her go, since you only get to go to so many proms in your life(my parents let me and my sister go to junior proms when we were 15, we werent allowed to date until 16). But just yesterday she made it into the state gymnnastic meet, which is the same day as prom, in oroville, depending on the time of the meet she still might be able to make it but idk if i want to ask her anyways since im aware of this meet.
So that basically means i have no chance at spending any time with her outside of school, not only cuz she is uber busy with gymnastics and stuff but because her parents wouldnt let her probably(other then group dates which might be a possibility). and summer break without seeing her at all is guna suck.
tl;dr - How to avoid friend zone without being able to go on a date or anything with a girl(just seeing her at school)
I thought maybe going a bit to their youth group since my best friend goes there but i dont really want to use church to get closer to a girl.

friend zone doesn't really exist - it's just a parody of women's behavior. If you want to be around her even in a non-sexual way then why not.

Perhaps you should try dating someone who you can actually spend time with? I mean, you are assuming she is even interested in a relationship when she might be focused on her gymnastic activities.

friend zone exists, but worrying about ending up there is dumb. loosen up, don't worry about stuff, just act like a normal human being and your relationships will be good and fruitful. if she is a great girl then becoming her friend can't possibly be all that bad, whatever jealousy you'll feel at whatever point when she finds someone else isn't gonna be particularly long lasting and meanwhile you get to enjoy her company in a better way than if you were dating her.

Youth group is really the way to go. I don't really know how strict and prude that group would be, but usually social groups are awesome ways to get to know people. Think about it, youth group = trips (to the beach/pool dunno), a regular time to hang out every week outside of school and best of all, youth retreats (they get better as you get older). If you know people in it already all the better, just have fun basically. And really, don't get clingy. Try not to limit yourself to only this one girl and turn yourself off from all others, if you are too clingy when you dont really know each other it just makes things worse.
You aren't exploiting the church by attending one of its activities because of a girl you like, a bunch of the guys in my youth group are there to meet girls, this isin't a sin mind you. But again, it really depends on how strict your environment is (that would probably be the limiting factor of the extent of your intimacy with her). The more you tell, the more we can help, but remember what Kennigit said, flirting, not gawking and praising, is what will get you a relationship

She isn't allowed to date before 16. you weren't allowed to.. WTF IS THIS. As anyone would even ask their parents for dating? It's like asking with 16 if you're allowed to go to the Supermarket.
So just don't get with her. You're obviously not mature enough for a serious relationship and believe me, everything else is just a waste of time. You like that girl, so i guess "Sex training" is not on the menu. Just get friends with her. Why not?
