Yup, SC only thing that matters is ergonomics, koreans copy eachother and thus the mini optical became the big thing.
This will change with SC2 though and mouses like the mini optical will be left alone because of the shitty tracking it has.
Even the G1 which has a little bit more dpi than mini optical and far better "perfect control" isn't perfect at all at any resolution above 800x600.

Greatest fucking mouse ever made anywhere. If only they could get a stable modern 1600dpi or so sensor in this exact body, I would never buy another mouse again.
BTW the krait gave me RSI in my wrist. Soooo awkward to handle =(

Soooo awkward to handle =( I'm currently using the Kinzu which while its a little bit smaller than the WMO is in shape quite similar, it goes up to 3200 dpi but suffers from negative acceleration if you intend to play low sens.
As a SC player (and hi sens obv) I haven't noticed any problems though..

Mouse accuracy is way more important than speed imo. Every mouse can go as fast as it wants but it doesn't mean shit if the gamer can't control it.

The Razor salmosa asian edition is the greatest mouse ever made

Sounds great and all but I have one question. Did they fix the FUCKING squeaking?

I've researched that mouse and really want to buy it, but I'm afraid of the acceleration issue. I play low-mid sens on most FPS games... fuuu lol

Ya, fuck razer. I bought one a few years ago and it lasted 5 months. My friend bought one too at the same time and it barely lasted longer.

Wireless mouses are generally not good for gaming (especially in wireless mode), for games like wow any decent quality mouse is good but for RTS its 1) feeling in hand 2) good sensor (not in dpi but accuracy adn response). I think Orochi its overpriced mouse (you can get good gaming mouse and decent wireless for similar price) also things like "Gold-plated USB connector" shows its a gimmick product for peapole with too big wallets.
also @OPtopic - Comparing Salmosa and Abyssus, abyssus wins for me, shape gives simmilar feeling, but general feeling is better (propably because of lack of prediction), i think glides are little more durable. If anone can spare little more $$ Abyssus is the right choice IMHO

I think you are using the Xai or another mouse. Kinzu is definitely smaller.

ps: because i made a picture before realising my mistake i'll post it for comparison + Show Spoiler [from left LMO,KINZU,SALMOSA,ABYSSUS] +

Oh Nao you have them all? Nice, so wich one do you prefer? Is Abyssus > Logitech Mini?
I was thinking of buying an Abyssus but the reason that holds me back is that razer wants to release special SC2 Equipment (http://www2.razerzone.com/sc2/) so I don't know if i should wait for that or just buy the abyssus right now. Anybody knows if the SC2 mouse will be anything like the Abyssus/Salmosa? Because if its a big mouse for palm grip I dont want it anyway. Currently i have the Logitech MX518 wich is not that good for RTS because its so big you have to move your whole arm (can't really use your fingers only).
Also what sensitivty you guys use measured in cm to move from left to right of the screen?

its just a shame that it doesnt have two extra buttons (be it thumb buttons or horizontal scroll wheel). makes it nearly useless for webbrowsing...

Yeah lots of people don't realise that dpi is basicly directly related to screen res. The CS pros all used to use the intelli explorer 3/1 as well becuase they didn't need the extra dpi at 800x600. But if your looking to the future, ie sc2, then I'd advise buying one of these, or the new steelseries Xai Laser, that thing looks pretty pimp and apprently most of the players in EG use it including grubby, walle has been seen using it too (although it might just be steelseries sponsoring them and making them use it).

I'd just use steelserious equipment too if I was sponsored by them ^^
@OP so how was your SC2 experience with this mouse?

Darn, I should've waited for Abyssus before buying Salmosa. Perhaps I could sell my Logitech MX518 and my Salmosa and use the money to buy Abyssus. :D
