Heard of that game, never played though. But I am sure it will be easier on the actual DS cos' all DS games are designed with the use the DS touch screen and stylus in mind. So most of the game on DS are stylus using and touchscreen intensive. Just buy a DS man, its very cheap now. And there are many more great game in the DS that you can play for relax.

It's pretty easy with the DS stylus. Although the end of the game gets so fucking hard, it's insane.

Is there no way for the touchpad on a laptop to replace the DS stylus?

I seriously think I'm too retarded to play Trauma Center. I go through the tutorials where they tell me how to do things step by step, then they throw me into an operation and all of a sudden I forget all the steps I need to do in order to remove a tumor and can't beat the first level where I have to do stuff on my own

The DS has indeed dropped in price and I felt much better playing with a stylus. It kind of feels more like how the developers intended for it to feel. Though if you're just getting the DS for just this I'm not sure if it's worth it. You should check out some other games on DS and see what you think.

I beat Trauma center except for like the bonus absolute last level which was near impossible unless you did everything EXACTLY perfectly.
But yeah it's an amazing game honestly (talking about the original).
A mouse would be a bit difficult yes, because I found by the time I was getting to the later levels, I had to use 2 styli to get S ranks. One was for selecting the items, the other was for doing the actions.
But regardless keep playing it it's really incredible and the last level (not the bonus one I was talking about, that one is after you have beaten the game just as a challenge) is so epic/insane.
Edit:
I did not use the mouse I only played on the DS and I managed to S rank almost every one.

Well, Osu! is a derivative of the EBA series on DS, and those translate very well when going from stylus to mouse... I prefer mouse of stylus any day.

Trauma Center is way easier on a DS. If you get bored with the game, try playing "Co-op mode": you and a friend each with a stylus. One person selects the tool, the other operates. Really hard but fun (and funny).

Yeah I played trauma center on computer and DS, its much easier on DS.
I got to a point on the computer where I couldnt pass things anymore, mouse just isnt fast enough compared to touchpad
|
I played it on DS and got stuck at one where this guy had tons of tumors. I just couldn't pass it, and it was only like the 6th level or something.

Yeh, I'm fighting the first GUILT (?) boss (the one who does lacerations everywhere) and it's really fucking hard to keep up even with healing touch.
Oh well at least Scribblenaughts is relieving my stress.

There's a DS emulator that actually works well???

I love trauma center! the later missions were pretty stressful >< I like how some of the characters kind of shit talk you after you lose. like "k.. move aside I guess i have to do this...." kind of disappointed tone lol.

the DS experience translates pretty well to PC, suturing and cutting are both a little wonky but it's definitely possible to finish the game using the mouse
|
I've only ever played it on the Wii (one of the 4-5 games I've played on the Wii), and it was hard as hell. I'd imagine the mouse would be a bit easier, and the stylus even more so.

I've never played trauma center on my pc before, but I have it for the DS and Wii. I'd definitely say DS is easier than Wii, but I imagine pc would lie somewhere in between. I feel drawing the stuff on pc would be like drawing stuff in paint-- easy in theory, but difficult in practice. ie: drawing letters on paint is rather difficult (at least for me) even though it seems like it'd be easy.
The thing you have to draw with the mouse make this an easy answer, i think.
