So i got a zune hd, which is basically the mp3 player from microsoft designed to compete with the ipod touch. It's kinda crazy to be posting to TL from a thing thats hardly bigger than a playing card.

Its got "hd" radio which is cool and can output 720p video if you buy an expensive hdmi adapter. (seems like a lame excuse to put "hd" in the name)

I just like it because it does all of the fancy shit an iphone does but its smaller and doesn't need a ripoff data plan.

How is the interface on it? Easy to use? I've looked at some, but I thought it was a bit small to be comfortable

I think its pretty good. The keyboard is just barely big enough when you turn it on its side. Just know that everything is controlled by touch. Its very easy and responsive, but you might miss buttons for simple things like volume and forward/back.

I thought about getting that thing, too. seems like microsoft has finally caught up a bit to apple.
I definitely think it looks better, more stylish than the ipod touch.
But Ipod/Iphone still has a ridiculous ton of apps and I'll probably just get an iphone soon

Well the ipod touch doesn't have a "ridiculous data plan" either, which he said has. An iphone would be way more comfortable just for everyday use though, since you don't have to carry around an mp3 player and your cellphone.

Most of which you never ever.. ever. use. Trust me on that one. I can't count the number of times I was like "OH WOW HOW COOL" DL'd it.. used it once and cast it to the way side. Considering how absurdly expensive Iphone plans are I ditched it.

I now own a Palm Pre and a Zune HD separately. Perfectly happy. Zune has better output than an Iphone from my experience because really... it was designed on that basis.
