So earlier in the last iccup season, I made a blog about how I had improved from D- to D from my first to my second iccup seasons. With this in mind, my next goal became to reach D+ in the current iccup season.
With a few setbacks, and with the help/motivation of the TSL, I'm happy to say; I made it!* + Show Spoiler +
*I dodged zergs on python... I can't remember the last time I won against a zerg on that map.
I'm also 681 in the TSL ladder!
With the ceiling broken, it's time that I start playing more D+ players, and actually beating them. I know I'm better than the average D, but I'm optimistic that my macro will get better and better as time goes on. I can feel my macro getting better and I can feel my apm getting faster as well. The cool thing about my apm is that it's slowly increased from 50 (D-) to around 70 (D) to consistently 90, often 100+ (D+). But this increase has clearly come from practice, and that's a nice thing to know. A month ago, played a game against a friend of mine where I reached 90 apm, after never even peaking 80. I felt like I had run a marathon. Now, my apm comes in at 90 after a 40 minute long game, and I feel slow.
I'm proud to announce my goal for nest season: C-!!!
Here's an example of where I'm at right now. This game is over in about half the time and the rest consists of denying his last-ditch attempts to expand. I think my macro was some of the best I've had so far, but obviously was only D+ macro at best. I also made no attempt to defend my third, which was, quite obviously, a mistake that ended up prolonging the game by quite a bit. But this was a satisfying game to get to D+ on.
Jokes aside, you must have really killer game sense/mu understanding and strategy to reach D+ with 90 apm on terran. I have 120 apm and the only legit D+ games I can win are zvzs with BO advantages.
Wow, I remember when I made my TSL- account I beat you and knocked you down from D+ to D, I was D at the time since I had just made the account. Sorry bout that, gj on getting back there.!!!
I don't think Ive heard the new one, its all crap or just mehh? anyway you could expand a little on it?
talking about middle cyclone, guess its not really new anymore. The beginning is good but then it just becomes pretty average imo. I liked the songs on fox confessor better because they felt more... inspired. I think I have all of her albums since the Virginian and none of them are consistent enough to listen to from beginning to end. The good songs she makes however, are really really good. Her voice is amazing, her lyrics have a real songwriter's depth, she's really hot. As long as she keeps making music I'll listen to it, but I do hope she will eventually make a great album instead of a bunch of good ones.
