I've been trying to figure out the optimal time to listen to Day[9]. Basically my intent is to listen to his podcasts while playing games or watching reps or watching vods, and just run them over and over again until it is just subliminally in my head.
What do you all recommend for this? I find that if I listen while playing I have to concentrate too hard and I dunno if I'll understand, but if I watch a VOD I will get too excited (am I the only one who yells at his monitor a lot while watching games? PLLAAAGGUUUU).
That being said I'm starting to lean toward replays, but if I'm analysing my play while trying to listen to how to play I may end up figuring something out wrong, and then thinking I got it from Day[9], start applying it and failing even harder. Give me a suggestion of when to listen! Please keep in mind that if I'm not doing something starcraft related at the time I am guaranteed to be distracted by the first shiny thing i

Just listen to them and really think about it.
Put it on your mp3 player and listen to it when you're traveling or w/e.

I listen to them when I'm on my way to class or something. It's like 15 minute walk there and then another 15 back later. ALso when I'm waiting in between class I listen to them.

Are you kidding me lol...what are you 8 years old? You can't decide a time on when to listen a 8-10 minute audio? Do you also ask your mom/dad/friends/family at what time do you need to eat/sleep/shower/use the washroom/etc.?
Make some decisions, my god.

Find some free time to listen to it. It's easier to learn if you're not distracted by vods/reps/other, just like in real school; so just listen to it while doing nothing else. Also, you should do it out of respect for Day[9] and his work.
I usually lay in the bed, or stare at something.

Hi, this is a blog, and it was to encourage discussion and see what other, potentially better players might do. Please PLEASE forgive me for coming to a starcraft site and asking a question to starcraft players about the best way to advance some part of my starcraft. From now on I'll make sure that all my posts are like yours, and be rude, derogatory and useless, and maybe it will make me feel like the big man you are to look down on someone who isn't afraid to get advice before making, thats right you guessed it, a decision! If you knew more about the audio you would find that there is like one that is ten minutes, a couple less, and the rest longer, so you have clearly shown you have no idea what you are talking about. In fact, the only reason I'm even responding to your terrible troll is to just acknowledge how much of a moron you are.
Also, I didn't know you couldn't learn things subliminally through sleep so that scratches that, I guess I will just have to do the transit/stare at the ceiling ideas. Thanks for the input!
