Man I know this accomplishment is really trivial for a lot of people but I am really happy to finally hit C-!
Last season I got to 2800 or 2900 three or four times but hit losing streaks a few times and ended the season at like 2400 or something. Terran is really punishing! Started off this season with a teeerrible record and thought I was in big trouble even getting a steady D+...

So then I started playing on my [pu] account (gogo Princeton team) and the major difference was instead of playing to win I started playing to get better. I learned a few things:
1) At the low levels, your best bet at getting better is to play a robust build order and get the build and timings closer and closer to perfect...this is easier to do on a csl team than on iccup =).
2) Playing cheesy or risky build orders screws you in a lot of ways. For one, your macro is not going to get as much exercise so if the game goes to late game, you will be in worse shape. It's also bad practice to place the outcome of the game on one moment of micro (hello 2fac)...very frustrating when you lose, you don't get better when you win. aaalso, if you have to play a boX at a lan or something, you want multiple solid openings, or amazing standard play.
3) Gretorp is a God of Starcraft. =) <3

lolol i didnt know that...we've played two games on the ladder, both on blue storm
first is on my dthoms acct, tvt and he says "i'm trying out terran for a while" and then inbase 2raxes me >.<
so naturally when i see him in a game on blue storm i proxybbs his protoss, and since he went with a 2gate proxy himself it was instant win =D

Congrats, can you give a but more info on breaking into C- as Terran? I've only done it once so any help would be greatly appreciated...

Sorry, he was a B in Season 11. He's practicing Terran a lot lately but his main is Protoss.

I played a lot of D+ T games where I would be a little bitch and not play people who were 2800 or 2900 and play people who made D/D+ games who were D, etcetc, basically not having the stones to play better players more often. Once I got over that and started playing D+ games and not dodging (except for my game against psyonic), I got better faster.
Also, playing a friend when both of you basically know each other's build orders and just refine your timings and macro is very helpful. This is what I did with daisy and agony at princeton csl practice a lot =D. I'm the only terran >.<
Single player is also highly advisable but really boring =/
