After a while, though, like if I was dating someone, it would become an issue, not just because it would bother my lungs and I would hate how my clothes smelled, but because I don't want to watch the person I love willingly shortening their life. Honestly, right now things are a bit tough in that department. Here's some honesty for you . My whole life, I have been fairly successful at everything I have set out to do. I was valedictorian in high school, won awards in dance, was a section leader in choir, won awards for speech team in college, graduated magna cum laude... blah blah blah. You know, all the things I wanted to do, I did, and I did well. But now that I'm out of school, I don't have the successful career I thought I'd have, and, even worse, I've realized the only dream I'll ever regret not chasing is working in entertainment. When I'm onstage or on camera, communicating with people in an artistic way, I feel alive. Successful. And I know, if someone will just give me the chance to get my foot in the door and do it professionally, I will be. It's just a matter of finding that window of opportunity. Then, I can work, and grow, and create my own opportunities to use my success to really make a difference for people and causes that need it! I guess, in short, I see myself as somebody who has almost unlimited potential, who really can do just about anything she sets her mind to, but who is lying in wait for the opportunity to succeed at her dreams, and then to use that success to really, truly make a difference. In terms of other qualities, I'm somewhat unexpected, in that I never fit into any stereotypical boxes. I abhor the idea of "religion" but my life revolves around the very real faith I have in God. I'm fundamentally scared by change but have developed a habit of taking risks in order to overcome it. I think a lot about higher purposes and the greater good. I try to always do the right thing, and will make choices that may not be fun at the time based on that. I don't think I'm particularly pretty but people say I am so I try to appreciate it. I'm always on the move mentally and physically, and often have to make an effort to make time to rest, which I feel is important. I love EVERYONE- literally, everyone- and I love deeply and completely. I work really hard to understand and get along with all kinds of people, there usually aren't too many people who don't like me, and I get really upset if I know they don't. Anyway...that question's answers could go on forever... ask me more specifically if I didn't go in the right direction. 3. Protest the Hero? OMG yes! I love them! I saw them in concert at Warped Tour, and then again with My Children My Bride, The Human Abstract, and As I Lay Dying. We rocked so hard, my roommate passed out. It was awesome. | ||

Hmm... you should give me more info on this girl in particular and I'll try to help. If she is the one initiating the talk about hanging out, but turns you down on big things like concerts (snow patrol = not too gay) then maybe the trick is to invite her to do something a little less date-ish and more low key. Something more you, or maybe something more her. I suggest next time she brings it up, asking her "Sounds cool, what did you have in mind?" or just filling her in on your plans for the evening and seeing if she wants to join, like: "Some friends and I were gonna go to the game tonight, wanna come?" | ||
