So my buddy got back from cirque du soleil in toronto and said he was so inspired by their performance that he is quitting dota and devoting the time to training (he does kung fu, wushu, etc). I am currently inspired by his inspiration and so I have also decided to quit dota and spend more time on working out, jiu jitsu, and musical pursuits. Probably try to get to bed at a reasonable hour too. We waste about 2-3 hours a day on this so this is a pretty significant development.
This is probably the 3rd or 4th time we've quit dota, but we usually come back to it after a few months for a lack of nothing better to do. Anyways I am posting this here because having it in writing somewhere somehow makes it feel more substantial to me, perhaps I'll have updates from time to time.
