BLinD-RawR ALLEYCAT BLUES50601 Posts October 02 2019 02:03 GMT #2 Yes It should no longer be used in premiere tournaments at the very least, as much as I hate to use the phrase the map is very "stale" and doesn't do much to improve the current meta at the top level. people are not ready to let go of it on ladder though and they probably never will, it serves its purpose there for being a safe map to learn to play the game.

It is precisely because the approaches to the map are so well-known and established that I believe it is one of the best maps to measure at least certain aspects of "skill." I'm honestly more curious what the pros think about it. I imagine most are in favor of keeping it because of its longevity and stability, but that's just a guess. 164/164 btw

kogeT Poland2041 Posts October 07 2019 07:31 GMT #16 I think it makes sense to keep it, what I love about SC most is that you have a variety of maps: some new, meta changing and challening maps, and some old, well analyzed and practiced maps. These two types allow players to battle on different grounds: creativity & flexibility vs preparation & execution. Having 2-3 standard and 2-3 non standard maps makes exactly that. Keep FS!
