Cool. As I said, I wanted it to be a conscious decision, and I see now that it is

So, I was looking at the league icons, and I thought that they kind of looked a little like Pokemon gym badges, especially since there were 8 of them (and one for the TSL, which isn't a regular league). I thought it'd be cool to update a player's infobox to include what badges they'd won.

The problem is, the infobox doesn't have a tag for anything like "Tournaments won".

Right now, I have MVP's infobox looking like this.

But "Crowning achievements" really ought to have an "x3" after the GOM Badge, which doesn't fit the visual flow I'm trying to make, to show breadth of tournaments won.

How can I add that, and should I even? Or should I put the x3 in there? Or, more visually, just 3 Gom badges?

Edit: Oh no, it got reverted

I thought it was a cool idea

It is a cool idea ;-) I'm going to work on the infobox player template, so that it could display the crowning achievements more accurately.

EDIT: Modifying Template:Infobox Player wasn't necessary after all, I hope everyone is OK with the new display of the crowning achievements.

I like it, but I also like the "badges" because I'm a DORK. I might just make it my user page, since I'm the only one who cares. The issue I'm having is that I don't know how to display it.

The top way looks like an actual list of Pokemon badges, which covers the "breadth of wins" idea nicely. It's exactly the visual style I want (except I should really make it a table, but shush).

The bottom style is more accurate, and thus better at showing relative impressiveness of accomplishments (Nestea only has 1 badge in the top view while Idra has 3, which is a bid weird). More importantly, it makes "8 badges = Starcraft 2 Master" a bit more realistic. I suppose winning 8 unique badges is quite impressive, but it'll be a once-in-a-lifetime thing. Which I suppose would make that guy a Starcraft Mastah, but I want something I can reasonably expect.

I'm not sure if this is possible but I'd like to suggest a new feature for Liquidpedia: map win/loss statistics.

If I search for Shattered Temple or Metalopolis, it would be neat to see the win/loss statistics by the 3 matchups using data from TLPD. So in essence on each Liquidpedia page for a map you'd have that section showing lines like this:

ZvP: 48.5%
PvT: 51.4%
TvZ: 49.7%

This is something we'd love to have but sadly isn't possible now nor in the near future, perhaps at some point it might be....

To add to what Salle said we currently need to re-haul TLPD as the system is becoming outdated, when that happens we'd love to do that but its unfortunately not possible for some time.

This is a personal request, I'm terrible with editing LP, you guys have a adding images walkthrough but but I fear I am not to be trusted even with your help. That being said, would anyone please take pity on me and add a flag for Namibia so I can update the WCG 2011 page, I'd really appreciate it.

Hi,

I uploaded a HQ image of Shattered Temple to replace the older LQ one.
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/File:The_Shattered_Temple.jpg

But the pages containing the file link are not being updated with the new image. Why is this?

The server's cache settings means it can take a while before pages gets updated with an updated image, just give it some time.

Sure, I added it here: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/File:Nam.png

That file is in a non standard resolution for flags on the wiki. A standard version has been uploaded to http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/File:Na.png and to use it please use {{flag|namibia}}

I really liked the old multi-tab layout for things like GSL and MLG. I felt it was very intuitive understand how everything is ordered. The change makes sense because there are just a lot of tournaments to fit in one row of tabs, but I feel from an interface standpoint, the "[show]" isn't drawing enough attention as those set of links deserve.

I'm thinking all in terms of someone new to Liquipedia who's trying to find out about the different GSLs or something like that. Maybe consider adding something that would prompt a new user to actually open that box to see all the goodies that are inside. I just feel the way it is right now makes it too easy to miss, and then it becomes frustrating trying navigate through all the tournaments.

For example, some bright triangles that draw attention to the fact that the bar is expandible, and not just some a subtitle or something like that:

Hmm sure, I guess, but I do have a few reservations:
Firstly it should only be shown on navboxes that are "collapsed", this would require someone to add a little to the javascript on the wiki, or the message of the icons will not be as clear.
Secondly it would have to look good and fit into the current style/skins, not be too much of an eyesore.
Thirdly how many people would actually benefit from this? I agree that a first timer might not understand exactly what it does, but nor do they understand a lot of the conventions on Liquipedia, as with any page it does have a learning curve. For me personally I don't think it's worth my time as I would have to do a lot of learning to get it working properly.
But if people with knowledge, time and will to do this makes it happen it is of course beneficial to the site.

I really like the solution that was implemented with this for GSL, with less clicks to recent events, and then text that directs you to expand if you want to see the more complete listing.

I do too, hopefully we can implement a similar solution for at least the other big recurring tournaments.

Might go with that.

Is there a small icon for the Asus Stars Invite? I want to add it to my list for the winner.
