i know my opinion doesn't matter but i think name changes should only be for venerable members or people with ugly ass names.

i recognize most low-post noobs by their name so i don't think they should be allowed either

unless there was some way to force people to keep their old name as their sig.

well i just mean, if a guy like tasteless asks you for a name change, it's kind of hard to say no after all he's done for the community and all.

but it would be preferable if everyone just kept their original name unless it's really ugly like ml170's was or that ))))code((( guy

I'm sorry, but the general rule is that if you have over 500 posts, we don't change your ID unless for certain reasons like changing clans or teams. Your ID is what our community recognizes and identifies with your online personality on these forums, so we are reluctant to change anyone's ID that has over a certain threshold of posts. I think you will jus thave to live with Puosu

We don't do name changes for longtime members.

We do allow name changes for low post noobs, because they will quickly have their identity associated with their new name since they haven't really posted much and thus their ID is not really associated with them as strongly as a veteran.

i wasn't suggesting veterans be allowed to do name changes. i meant 'heroes' like HT or tasteless, although their highly unlikely to request a name change.

i don't think we should allow any name changes, even for low post people, because even low post guys are pretty recognizable and i think we only get to know them even slower if they do a name change. not only that but they are by far the last people deserving the privelege.

imo name changes should be reserved for people with horrible names. i know my opinion doesn't matter but it is kind of annoying getting used to a new name, or wondering where so and so went when in fact they just have a new name.

edit: maybe you could put their old name in their sig, and then remove their sig changing privleges so it will stay there forever?
