Are awesome! Such a cool feature!!!
However, (I know I'm greedy) I was wondering if we might get a "Select All" button on this page: http://www.teamliquid.net/mytlnet/mythreads.php ?
When I went in for the first time I had like 40 threads listed there and wanted to remove a lot of them. Would just make life a bit easier, assuming it's not a terribly difficult change.
I'll give this thread a neutral title, I'm sure there are other people who want to tell R1ch he is captain cool.
1,00000000 agrees on this! I'm sure a lot of people are relieved to see this, it's a great thing, but perhaps not have it auto-subscribe or better yet: have an option to not let it auto-subscribe when posting.
Yeah i was actually looking for a Select All button because i was sure the great R1ch would have added one, but nope Same with "Don't automatically subscibe to threads i post in" or something along those lines.
This is pretty useful, there are typically threads I always return to (Skyrim and MapleStory, for example).

Yeah that would be nice, sort of defeats the purpose of the subscribed thread if it just subscribes to everything. Then it's basically just the myposts portal that lets you know if there are unread posts, (which is good, but redundant IMO)Especially for you Torte, you'll end up subscribed to every thread on TL.
I really like the idea of being able to "subscribe" to certain threads though. I check the ABL Thread pretty much every day, same with the Simple Q&A thread in Tech Support, so a quick link showing how many new posts is really really cool.
I parrot the people above me. Excellent feature, but aforementioned two functions would make thread maintenance so much easier. You can always check 'Posts' if you want to see every thread you posted in.

First and foremost, THANKS R1CH!!!
Second of all, you could even think the opposite TDL! The auto-subscribe is a good way to limit someones posting capability(you? ) Once you reach the subscribe threshold from posting(50 threads?) You cannot post anymore until editing your subscriber list!
Joking aside I agree, auto-subscribing to everything makes no sense. Then again it was just implemented... I'm sure R1CH is working out the kinks.
Just noticed it =). Love it! Thank you so much R1CH I was hoping for such a feature for a few months now ^_^.
Another option might be to allow us to "sticky" certain threads in our own subscribed thread list, so that they always stay at the top and can be easily accessed.
Might just allow us to get a little more out of an already cool tool.
But noone reads stickies... haha j/k
Yes, Toast's idea would be nice.

Yeah great feature and a few things to make it even greater.
really cool how r1ch doesn't announce things. I can't imagine a world where this wasn't already there.

Loving this feature, good call :D

Select All has been added!

Thanks so much! You are officially Admiral Cool.
What do you think of the other suggestion?

Thanks for the quick response!

Exactly what do the subscribed threads do for us? Are we notified if something changes? If someone posts in it?

INDEED! It will show in brackets, in gray writing. Posts in the thread since you have last read, clicking will bring you directly where you last left off. YE OF LITTLE FAITH DOUBTING R1CH's AWESOMENESS?!!
This is just what TL needed, this is bloody brilliant!
Oh my god, I never thought of this but it's so useful!
Works so great. Absolutely love this feature.
Really liking this feature
bring back PR on the sidebar plz
Can a subscribed threads section be Macgyvered into one of the sidebars? There would probably have to be a limit on how many threads show in the sidebar, but that's the one thing that would make this feature amazing.
I was just thinking about this yesterday and how cool it would be if tl had it.
The wizard strikes again. I don't really have much to say except thank you so much.
The jump to last unread post is so brilliant. Prevents so much trawling and will be super useful in mafia
This is awesome, thank you!
I'm really glad that these were added - a certain other forum I use heavily also has a subscription feature, and it's one of my favorite parts of the site.
When I made a blog, it didn't automatically subscribe me. Maybe you should add an auto subscribe feature on threads you've created?
hmm
maybe a "mark all as read" kind of option would be nice.
Love the new changes to the site! the subscribed threads is genius! Thx R1CH!

One suggestion though: it shoudln't auto-subscribe to threads I reply...

On February 16 2012 20:07 Dakota_Fanning wrote: One suggestion though: it shoudln't auto-subscribe to threads I reply... That's something I was confused about. Some threads I like to post in, some threads I like to read, some threads I post in maybe once but there's no sort of filtering process in the subscription list.
Still a very useful feature! I used to go to my posts to try and see which threads have been active. So thank you
Can we have some options for sorting/ordering the list? I'd like to have it grouped by forum.
Like this feature!
A suggestion - can the auto-subscribe to threads that I post in be a profile option?
This is the greatest feature I ever. /Bow
Pretty awesome feature, I've been waiting for something like this for a long time! Now I won't have to go to my posts page to search for threads I want to read again.
Am i the only one that gets auto Subscribed to threads when i reply in them?
Im not really that picky but I had to remove alot of my subscribes maybe there is an option to remove this I have tried searching and haven't found any
Would like some help with this
this saves me a lot of time, thanks for this feature
On February 16 2012 20:07 Dakota_Fanning wrote: One suggestion though: it shoudln't auto-subscribe to threads I reply... seconded (or thirded actually). i have my stickied threads that i go to regularly, but i constantly have to delete all the threads i have posted in, but am not really interested in going back to them day after day.
R1CH, love the subscribed thread idea!!
Dear R1CH ,
In the Subscribed Threads tab, I think another "Unsubscribe Selected" button at the top of the page would make it more convenient UI and easier to navigate. Even another Select All at the top would be cool!
Thanks again

I can only chime in here.

Now that I've had a few days to use this I can't imagine life without it. I used to have to look to see how many unviewed posts there were in a thread? How did I manage to survive? Also this is sooo useful for Mafia.
But please R1CH, give us the option to 'sticky' items in the subscribed threads list!

Yes, very very very much this.
Also I want an option to get it away from my front page. I will not use it that often.
Wow this feature is awsome for us that read the forum a lot. Thank you TL.
I started posting again at the time the feature was added to TL. Took me about 5 minutes to start using it. Now I cannot live without it.
I was lurking TL long, long before I started to contribute to threads, and not only does subscribing help me do that, but it feels like one.of the big factors that got me to post more openly (as well the Automated Ban Thread). So I mean it from the bottom of my nerdist heart when I say "Thank you, R1CH!"
Now with that out of the way, I do have my share of suggestions regarding how to improve it. I am writing this whole post in TL's "Mobile-enhanced mode" , and while I can subscribe to threads in this mode, it is difficult to actually view my subscribed threads in this mode, or even access it.
My suggestions to remedy this goes like this: •Make "Subscribed Threads" a part of one's editable profile (i.e. Your personal profile page). •Place "Subscribed Threads" right on the main forum page, alongside "View threads you created" and "View threads you've posted in". •Some other way of getting to one's "Subscribed Threads", I'm sure others have some ideas of their own.
That's all, and it shouldn't really affect me once I'm able to post on my PC again.
+ Show Spoiler +Now I'm off to complain on the Android Market regarding the TeamLiquid app that only works for me as long as I don't want to sign in ever

kinda bothers me as well, any way to remove this?

This is so cool! I've been neglecting SC2 for months because of Skyrim, I finally decide to come back to TL and find this awsome new feature!
Could this feature auto subscribe to blogs we post to please?
On February 16 2012 20:07 Dakota_Fanning wrote: One suggestion though: it shoudln't auto-subscribe to threads I reply... I was just about to write this. I do find it annoying that every thread that I seemed to reply to I subscribe to. I'd like to keep my subscribed threads what I feel is important, and not just what I reply to. Maybe change the default to unsubscribed?
One thing I think would be a great feature for us obsessive readers is to have a little number next to the link to the subscribed threads page that shows the total number of unread posts in subscribed threads. For example if I have four subscribed threads with 2, 1, and 0 and 5 unread posts in them, the link to the subscription page would look like Subscribed Threads (8)
Subscribed thread auto-subscribe can now be turned off from the subscribed threads page (checkbox at the bottom). Posting a blog will now also subscribe you to it depending on your preferences.

Thank you R1CH!

Thanks R1CH, you're the man <3
Awww R1CH you forgot to add it to the mobile version!
I miss it on my android ;( I dont want to turn off mible version either, it screws my screen over
Just noticed the "Automatically subscribe to threads I post in" option on the Subscribed Threads page. Awesome!
Bit late to discover the update, but thanks!
Will it be possible to implement and option to sticky threads in my Subscribed Threads? Thanks!
it would be really nice if the subscribed threads feature would be available for the mobile version of TL.net !
atm im kinda scared to go to tl with my phone cause i dont want to fuck up my subscribed threads list and go past posts i havent read yet ^^

Great feature, instantly addicted!
Two things that can be further improved: 1) It seems like posts on TL pro are not included. I post sometimes in the "Team Liquid News" and they don't get subscribed.
2) The poll thread (how far will naniwa go) always shows "(1) >" even when there are no new posts. Otherwise it shows one more that the number of new posts (ie "(3) >" if there are 2 new posts etc). If I click it when there are no new posts, it will send me to the top of the last page. I guess it is a bug.
Sorry for the bumb, but I think this was the right thread.
Just wanted to post to say the negative posts issue still exists. If you're subscribed to a thread and posts are deleted (I assume) it says there are negative posts remaining. Clicking through the thread doesn't change the number, but unsubscribing and re-subscribing is a work around. I don't know if people posting changes the number though.
My subscribed threads isn't updating to reflect I've read the posts. I have the same number showing unread as I did yesterday afternoon despite having read them all. I don't think I've changed anything...
Edit: Working again as normal. Not sure but for about 18 hours it wasn't updating. Edit 2: Scratch that, the numbers changed on some, but it's still not working as normal.
