I think that with all of the work that goes into the sc2 strategy thread (the good threads at least) I think that a much better long term solution that would help both the thread and the wiki would be to require all Guides[G] to first be posted for review on the wiki. When someone then writes up a Guide on the strategy they simply reference the wiki article at the top of the article and then write a discussion and/or guide to go along with it. There are so many builds listed in the sc2 strategy section that do not have an article in the wiki yet.
2-3 years from now, it would be much more beneficial to find all of the strategies on the wiki, then randomly assorted on the forums. I think this would help reduce a lot of the clutter too.
The other idea is to seperate the different strategy things.
One section should be all the guides and discussions for discussion Strategy, the other section should be Starcraft 2 Help which will be all discussions for beginners and for people posting replays and those things.
On a side note I have some other suggestions that are more general
Suggestions Move the general forum underneath the broodwar forum. Most people are here to discuss starcraft, not UK Voting Reform, or Anime Discussion Thread and while those should be a part of the community, having them be at the top makes the priorities confusing. Most threads which have a large number of subsections always put unrelated material near the bottom.
As a user I tend to hide forums in the general forum because I want the SC2 section to be up as high as possible. If the general thread was at the bottom, i wouldn't have this problem.
Also, limit the # of threads listed in the side bar to 4 instead of 5, it's getting really cluttered. Also, can I please hide the blogs and replays forum
When I view the sc2 strategy forum, sometimes I just want to skip to the pro's comments, but that involves searching for that light blue tint. Battle.net has a link on the first post and ever mod post after that pointing to the next mod post in the thread. It wouldn't be too difficult to implement something similar and would really help those who are just browsing through a thread.
Finally, the header of the site looks cool, but it seriously takes up waaaaay too much space, it could easily be changed from 150px to 110 or 120px without any harm at all. Most of the reason for the large header is the horses in the background of the title, but they are not very visible and them being smaller and less saturated with blue would make it stick out more. I would have to play around with it in photoshop to really show what I mean, but the header size really does take away from the site.

First, many many many many builds in the strategy forum are pretty ungood (I'm trying to say they suck, but nicely). Others are are extremely limited in scope or use.
The remaining builds are discussed and refined, and then added to the wiki. Technically, builds in LP are supposed to have replays and/or VODs showing that they work and have been used at a high level of competition.
You can hover over Forum and select StarCraft II to get just the SC2 boards. No need to move anything around.
This isn't Battle.net's forums. The discussions are important, not just the highlighted posts. Also, highlighted posters aren't necessarily professional players. Typically, people come to TL for the high quality coverage, and if they are wanting specific information, they will go to the thread/wiki article to get it. Not much "just browsing" happens.
Get a bigger monitor? It feels a bit cramped as it is, and I don't have nearly as much stuff as the rest of the staff (I've seen the screenshots, and I'm sure you have as well...there are plenty of things you can't see).

Hello, In the past I was looking for build orders for HotS so I found Gosubuilds.com. Please don't get me wrong -It's an amazing side to get good Pro-Build Orders but I think its for low league players like me (Low league --> below Master) hard to learn them. Even if they would learn them they wouldn't need them at all in a low League. In WOL I was learning my Build Order's by liquidpedia and Yabot but now there is no chance without Gosubuilds.com to get new Build Orders.
What I basically want to say it that it would be awesome if liquidpedia would update their SC2 Strategy Category and put in:
- General HotS Build's for every Race like T vs X Z vs X P vs X
- Specific Build Order's Categorized by Strategy like eg: Macro build, All-In, Timing Push....
- Build Orders for each Match up and Race
It would be great if Teamliquid could manage that in a way that can be understood by players that aren't that good in learning Build Order's. I would appreciate your work for us low ranked players
Greetings Marmalade!
