So far the only game I'm really impressed by is Assassin's Creed 2. I tried to find a threat on TL with a couple nice listings but couldn't find any. My research on the net says that the following games have good odds on impressing me: - Batman: Arkham Asylum - Borderlands (Gets boring fast I heard) - Demon's Souls (How's the longevity of this game?) - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Dragon Age: Origins (Is this overhyped?) - Killzone 2 / Resistance 2 / Metal Gear Solid 4 (how do these 3 compare?) - LittleBigPlanet (Is this overhyped?) - GTA4 (Is it really worth it? GTA games usually get boring quick) - SF4 (Will probably get this sooner or later) - Infamous (Is this better than Fable? Overhyped?) - PixelJunk Shooter / Fat Princess (Both seem very fun!) I PC. - Batman Arkham Asylum is a fun playtrough with a pretty simple control mechanism. Not to deep but good graphics and atmosphere. If you like Batman it's worth it. - Borderlands; it's only fun if you play it with friends, possibly if you know them in rl. Game is very simple in terms of abilitys and skill tree. Otherwise i agree it does get boring very quickly. - Demons souls is great. Youre in for a challenge on your first playtrough (if you dont invite other players in to support you which imho kinda ruins it). Great graphics great gameplay i recommend this one. - Uncharted 2 has awesome graphics and a LOT of scripted sequences that string the story along. I liked it but somehow the gameplay wasn't that much fun to me. I did enjoy Gears of war much more than this one (then again that one obviously had coop). If you liked the first Uncharted get this one otherwise it's kinda more of the same with more spectacular graphics and more scripted sequences. -Dragon Age: If you have a pc capable of running this you should get it for pc. It kinda sucks on console because there are seveal control scheme limitations that seriously hurt the gameplay ( unable to give a character a move only order, unable to queue more than one action) -SF4; if you like fighting games get it. -Infamous if you like sandbox games its a good game, otherwise it can get boring later. -Killzone 2 good graphics but more of a standard shooter. A bit like Call of duty in a future setting. -Metal gear solid; stealth game with a LOT of cinematics. Great experience overall if youre a fan of the series and know what to expect. Else watch some videos on youtube. just my experiences

-uncharted 2- must buy, simply the greatest singleplayer game ever on a console, imo its all sorts of awesome and the MP isnt bad at all either, especially if you have friends to play with -littlebigplanet is great with friends if you guys are in the same room, and the online element is fun as long as you play good user created maps or into making levels yourself -if youre a batman fan, then there is no reason not to get arkham asylum!

I would defintely recommend Uncharted 2. SF4 and Tekken 6 if u look fighting games, and yeah like someone mentioned earlier, if u havent played GOW 1 and 2 then u should buy the collection for PS3 so u can prep up for GOW3 coming out next year! Demon's Souls got Game of Year on gamespot and ive heard nothing but awesome awesome news about it, although i havent played it myself. Dragon Age was ok, i didnt get into it that much, would've much rather played it on the PC instead of PS3. I think Little Big Planet is overrated but alot of people love it i guess. I would also recommend buying MGS4, very very sick game. And of course for 2010~ HEAVY RAIN ZOOOOMMMFFFFGGGG!!!!

LittleBigPlanet It's not a very precise platformer and as such doesn't offer the best singleplayer experience money kan buy. This all changes however when you add in a second (and preferably a third and fourth) player. Many of the platform sequences require coordination if not cooperation to complete in multiplayer, mostly due to the great physics. On top of that, the game oozes cuddliness which is in most cases a big plus if you want to play it with your girl. The game will however get challenging towards the end, especially if you play multiplayer (more players = more unpredictable camera movement = harder platforming. The game itself doesn't change). Pixel Junk Shooter Fun, easy to pick up and easy to understand 2d shooter. Watch this for a long gameplay look: http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-pixeljunk-shooter/17-1773/ Bionic Commando Re-armed 2d platformer/shooter from the NES days with remade graphics. Has two player local-coop or up to four player local-deathmatch. Very fun and chaotic. More for gamer-friends though. Comet Crash Tower defense based strategy game with local two player coop and up to four player local free-for-all or teamplay. The competitive multiplayer is perhaps the best experience I've had as far as local multiplayer goes on the ps3. Not recommended for non-gamers though. Pixel Junk Monsters Charming tower defense game with local two player coop mode. Very addicting.

Out of what you listed. Borderlands - I can't imagine playing this alone. I played it with 4 RL friends and it was great. Alone, I'm sure it wouldn't be. Demon's Souls - I'm really excited for this, but remember you'll have to import it to Europe. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - I'm in the minority here, but I haven't finished this. The gunfights are annoying and so plentiful. I wanted to explore and do puzzles, but I've been stuck in this same place for ages just shooting people. GTA 4 - I got bored of this very quickly too. It's just like the other 3D games. If you still enjoy those though, get it.

I've played killzone1, resistance 1, Metal Gear Solid 4. It depends on what u're looking for. Killzone and resistance are fps games, just classical warfare but your'e like a small group of people who kill all enemies. Mgs 4 is the best game i played on ps3, If you've played and ejoyed any of the earlier mgs games it's a must have. If your pick of these isn't mgs, then I'd recommend Killzone2 as better than Resistance when it comes to story and gameplay.

Take that for what its worth. - Borderlands (Gets boring fast I heard) Depends how much you like Diablo type games. - Demon's Souls (How's the longevity of this game?) Comes highly highly recommended by everyone who has bought this. - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Game of the Year. - Dragon Age: Origins (Is this overhyped?) Buy this on PC. - Killzone 2 / Resistance 2 / Metal Gear Solid 4 (how do these 3 compare?) MGS4 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Killzone 2 >>> Resistance 2 - LittleBigPlanet (Is this overhyped?) This is really fun! If you like being creative at all, check it out. - GTA4 (Is it really worth it? GTA games usually get boring quick) Not worth it. - SF4 (Will probably get this sooner or later) Many claim to be the best street fighter ever, so if you're into it.. go for it. - Infamous (Is this better than Fable? Overhyped?) Infamous was better than I thought but not what the hype train said it would be. - PixelJunk Shooter / Fat Princess (Both seem very fun!) PixelJunk Shooter go!!!
